Shane probably won't get a red shirt, but my dream is that he does get one, doesn't get angry or impatient about it, realizes he can develop more (especially since he missed a good amount of his senior season in high school), Devin gets a medical red shirt and thus a fifth year, Devin also NEVER gets injured (at least next year so Shane doesn't have to burn his red shirt because I have no faith in our other QBs), Devin graduates, and then Shane takes over for three years. Again, it's my dream, but that probably isn't reality. I feel that Shane will not red shirt and Devin won't get a medical red shirt.

While I found this somewhat humorous, I'm pretty sure most if not all OSU fans couldn't care less about a bowl right now. They beat us and capped off an undefeated season. They've set themselves up as a top 5 team next season. I'm sure they look at stuff like this as nothing more than Michigan being a sore loser.

I don't know why M fans are bragging about going to some crappy and meaningless bowl game. I would love to be in Ohio's position right now.

Think about it: they really didn't get that much of a punishment. While I know it sucks for them that they went 12-0 and cannot play for a title, but the fact is they are only on post season ban for one year, got the second best coach in the NCAA (Saban is number one) after losing a top-five coach in Tressel, beat Michigan, didn't lose too many high profile recruits, and they will be a top-five team in 2013. Yeah...must REALLY suck to be an Ohio fan.

I have never seen a school celebrate the person that cost them a chance at a BCS bowl in the biggest game of their season.  How the NCAA does nothing while Tressel is allowed to give the team speeches and be the center of a celebration is mind baffling.

The NCAA has no control over who is allowed to visit Ohio's campus. Tressel is a former employee of the school, not the NCAA. While Smith was forced to fire him, in the back of his mind he thinks Tressel is the one of the greatest Ohio coaches of all time and still loves the guy. He also knows that Ohio fans will still get on their knees and suck him off and that he will provide motivation for the team, so of course he is allowed to do that shit.

I have found some peace in knowing that ohio fans will all have to die wondering "what if" about this season, and they have nothing to blame but their own arogance for not self-imposing a bowl ban last year.

I'm with you on this. Michigan fans should not be bragging about being able to go to some shitty bowl game while Ohio is undefeated and also beat us. Just remember, they are only on a one-year post season ban and a LOCK for the Big Ten title game for at least the next five years, probably more. That means we will be playing them twice a year a lot, assuming Hoke continues to do well and gets our talent level on par or better than Ohio's.

This would be funny if we didnt have to play Georgia or Florida in our bowl game...After watching our "progression" over the course of the season, no one can reasonably look at either opponent and not expect us to get crushed on national TV.

I go to the Florida games and went to Florida vs Georgia at Jax. They are terrible teams with a coupe of great defenders. They have absolutely horrible offenses and are carried by the SEC reputation. Alabama is great, but has faded, and the rest are shit.

I'm pretty sure they care when the fan base takes it upon themselves to petition President Obama for a chance to go to the BCS championship..

Its so fucking funny that they are bowl ineligible because of the person that they praised and celebrated for on their last game of the season. Then after the game they go to the locker room and complain about not being able to play in a bowl. What a bunch of fucking idiots. NCAA just got punched in the face for their celebration.

OSU doesn't even remember the transgressions (just players selling trinkets in their delusional memory) and don't recognize the vacated games. Just win-at-all-cost. All the more reason for us to win The Game so they can lose crooked. We need to win on the field.
