GO BLUE!

If you consider Pete Carrll at Princeton who took Georgetown to the wire, upset defending champ UCLA and won over 500 games without a scholarship player and was, obviously, inspriational enough to have coaches like Thompson and Beilien adapt his style of play - both with some oustanding talent - they should go far. Princeton went far with nothing but an invitation. They weren't supposed to be invited, but yet they made it to 11 tournies and won a couple of NITs I think. Their success story was built on coaching greatness and so is our's. Ours' happens to have a lot more talent attached to it so yeah, it can absolutely and does drive top tier teams nuts.  Won't surprise me at all to see us there and to grab one would be a very mild surprise imo.

and was upset because his track record with predicting anything is poor IMO.

Hoping he's wrong on this one.

Edit: I hope he is correct - I want him to be less wrong than he normally is is what I meant.

I posted this in another thread but he likes us playing teams outside the conference that aren't familiar with what we run.  Ample rest leading up to some quick turnarounds is going to make this team lethal.

He said this two weeks ago as well, and he has been consistent. Great buzz for the program, we have two weeks off and people can hear and think about those words for two weeks regardless of what happens in the tournament! Go blue!!!

This team could make it to the Final Four, but that doesn't change the fact that Seth Davis is a tool and a terrible basketball commentator.

Are we not? We are matchup nightmares for 95% of teams. The ones I fear are some mid-majors, UNC, Duke on a hot night, and Xavier. We are to be feared!

with the vastly impoved defense, this team can survive a lackluster shooting peformance.  And, when the threes are dropping, they are going to be a very very hard out in the tourney.

Our 1st game will be the most important (kinda obvious that you need to win your first game. B1G teams are at such a disadvantage with the long layoff. If you can “survive and advance” the first game then I think they can play with anybody

7 more wins in a row and this will be an unforgetable season...following a previous season that seemed unfortgetable.  Seems like the norm for a Beiein program.

I dont think there is any doubt who the best team in the B1G is atm. This team can absolutely win the whole damn thing. And should be considered one of the favorites.

I guess we get byes the first 4 rounds and are automatically in the final four.

FWIW no-one is a Final Four team before actually making it there. Anything can happen in March...

If Beilein makes it to the Final Four, he will have replaced all the banners that were taken down.

(Don't care about the NIT.)

The trademark of Beilein teams at Michigan seems to be they peak at the right time.  We are certainly not the most talented team in the country but I guarantee very few opposing teams want to face us right now.

as the clock was winding down today. We're a pretty complete team playing with a lot of confidence and poise. Scoring depth, good inside game, good outside game. If we play to our potential we can beat anyone and make a deep run.
