Perhaps if he gets enough complaints, he'll address this (bad officiating in general/lack of consistency) at the next Big Ten meeting or something.

If you are watching a Michigan game and its close and in the final seconds- put it on mute. If at any time gameplay stops and the camera pans to the refs at all - turn your tv off and go to bed.

Problem solved.

Are there Big Ten officials in basketball?  There are in football, but in basketball I thought there were just NCAA officials that travel around.

Hope someone can answer this truthfully for me. When was the last time Michigan won a football or basketball game on a bad call or two going out way in the final seconds. I’m sure it’s happened but it seems to happen against us a lot yet when it would benefit us the refs swallow their whistles. Any ideas on a game that we benefited from this?

I'm sure there are such games, and that we've accepted the win as if we were simply the best team on the field (court?).  Why would we (or anyone), as the winner, point to a bad call that allowed us to win?  We wouldn't...  We would say we put ourselves in position to win, and did so.  The losing team would cry a river and be called whiners for it.

I agree, but as I continue to watch poor officiating in all sports, even when i don’t care who wins (see Bama vs UGA) I make an effort to admit when Michigan gets a favorable call. I’m sure someone on this board could point out a time we have benefited from this. I agree I would take the W and I’m sure the examples exist, just curious if anyone can think of any.

I know this isn't as specifc as you are looking for, but I know there was a basketball game last year during conference play that Michigan had an unfavorable call go their way to basically seal the win. I know it happened becuase I made a comment to my wife about it and she said, mark this day down in history. Like always, I didn't listen and now look what has happened.

I don't blame officials for missing calls in real time in any sport, but it is a damn shame when they don't even know the rule book of the sport they're officiating.  It seems like Michigan hasn't gotten a call in a decade (yes, overstatement).
