Semi-OT: Why is Tom Izzo dressed like a Viking?
Sorry, I mean Visigoth. Seriously, what's up with that ad with Izzo dressed as a viking being interviewed by the faux Visigoth Sports Net for Capital One? That's just weird. What am I missing?
I thought it was a subtle dig at State when the Viking guy said Hail to Izzo.
Izzo loves role playing.
Izzo is a fan of L.A.R.P.ing apparently.
That you know that.
Link?
Does anyone know when MSU plays tomorro...oh shit.
plus one million
It's NCAA tourney time and be it coach Coach K driving Chevy’s or Izzo in Capital 1 ads why wouldn’t they jump at the chance for face time, can’t hurt with recruiting right? All in all I think this is just a feeble attempt by Capital 1 to pull in a “face” and play off the hypothetical questions of who would win in a battle…the Vikings or the Spartans. A weak attempt to relate their current branding to an appearance by Izzo. But at least he doesn’t have his own Dove commercial.
Because dressing him like a piston would look too bulky and clumsy, especially if he had to wear oil.
I down voted you because a thread about Izzo on a day like today is so......rcmb-ish.
your prerogative, i guess. i had just never seen the izzo as a viking ad until today when i started watching the games online and, frankly, something had to be said. I won't downvote you because i'm cool like that.
Because his team got sent to tourney Valhalla?
Only the honored dead go to Valhalla. Criminals and thugs go to Muspelheim, land of fire, or Niflheim, land of ice.
Thanks for looking that up on google.
I think he heard that vikings often make a battle cry. Then he said, "Cry? Did you say 'cry'? Fuck it, I'm there!!!"
with credit cards before they graduate. Nice, Tom. And you get to look like a silly noodle, too. Fail fail.
Vikings were into burning, raping, and pillaging.
Izzo is a coach of the spartans.
2 + 2 = ?
The same reason he's opening next season with a game on an aircraft carrier. The guy needs attention, all the time.
Maybe if he wasn't so busy flirting with Cleveland and filming commercials he would have had more wins and shed fewer poopy tears along the way.
