Semi-OT: Sports Genie
Late-night MgoBlog topic time!
So, you are walking down the streets of AA, when you notice an old, dusty water bottle lying on the sidewalk. You pick it up and shine off the dust, after all, who can't use another water bottle? The bottle starts emitting an odd smoke from the top, which forms into a genie who bears a striking resemblance to Tim Donaghy. He tells you he can grant you one of 4 wishes involving sports this week.
Your choices:
1. A Michigan win over state
2. A Tigers win in either Robertson or Bonine's start
3. A Lions win against the Bears
4. A Prather commitment to the Wolverines
He explains that your choice will not affect the other 3 outcomes, only guarantee a positive result in that one. Which matters most to you? Which are you least confident in?
I would have to go with a Michigan win over MSU. College football is so crazy, I don't want to risk seeing that bastard Dantonio have even an ounce of happiness this year. I wanna watch him squirm, I want to watch RichRod put his foot on his throat and stomp the life out of that son of a bitch.

Michigan over State all day. I still think the Tigers' fate is in the hands of their hitting as long as their pitching is somewhat solid. I'm still a little apathetic about the Lions.

Haha I also thought the same thing as soon as I saw the topic!
As for the original topic, I have to go with the Wolverines over Sparty this weekend. I have (possibly misguided) optimism that the Tigers can pull it out this weekend. I also feel as though the Prather commitment is leaning toward Blue. As for the Lions, well, they have lost me as a fan until they prove to me they are not the same sorry franchise as usual. One win doesn't cut it.

We beat Sparty. We are 5-0, either going to 7-0 or 6-1 after the next two games. And we are now a real contender for at least a share of the Big Ten. GO BLUE!!!

As an out of stater, 2 and 3 have zero significance for me. I'd be willing to go with Prather and take my chances with State (like we need a genie to beat Sparty) if I knew more about him, had seen him play, and was convinced he could make UM a Final Four contender. Since that isn't the case (and if he is that good he would be gone to the NBA soon anyway) I will take a guaranteed win over State.

I like the enthusiasm, but I always thought we were the pot smokers? Just because Charles Rogers' piss contains more THC than a Cypress Hill concert doesn't mean FYS has usurped our awesome weed legacy.

Seeing as how I am not a Tigers or Lions fan, that eliminates those two. I care more about getting a win over Sparty this weekend than getting Prather, but I am confident in our boys. We have control over that game, we have no control over Prather coming...so I am gonna have to go with the Prather commitment.
Afterall, we don't need a genie for the Sparty game...we already have Tate's fourth quarter magic at our disposal.

Genies are notorious for twisting you're words and making you're wishes completely fucked up. Plus, the genie could be extra annoying and want to hang out, like that blue mofo on Aladdin.

When you post that question on mgoblog, don't you think the response will be overwhelmingly in favor of #1? Post the question on a Lions or Tigers site and I bet you'd get #3 or #2.
