Semi-OT: Conor McGee gets his shot
A few folks were wondering if U-M lax transfer (to UVA) Conor McGee would get a chance to play a little now that he's at the D-I level (and elite-level at that.) Answer: McGee was the third goalie off the bench in UVA's rout of Mount St. Mary's today, and played the last 4:42 of the game. McGee faced two shots and saved one. Box score:

The Mount is definitely one of those everybody-plays-today tomato cans, but I had no idea whether McGee would be third or fourth in the pecking order. Now we know. McGee should definitely have another chance for some extended PT next Monday against VMI (unless it's a 3A, 3B kind of thing.) Vermont and Penn may also provide a little garbage time later in the season.

I knew he wasn't going to be able to push ghitelman or fortunado, but beating out geisler, who was a 2 time high school all american for the 3rd spot is impressive.

as he got here. Good for the kid from Gilman.
Nice job by UVa tonight...we'll see if my Jays are back for real in a few weeks.

Glad to hear he is doing well. If I recall correctly two members of his family played for Virginia, so this was always a dream for him.
