"Coach Weis told me whether he was going to be here or not be here, it was time for me to go. He thought I've improved so much since I came to Notre Dame. So, I'm taking his advice, and I'm going to head out." If Weis knew without a shadow of doubt he was still going to be ND's coach I don't think he would have said this to Jimmy.

Irish - You are right I don't know Coach Weis very well. But I am not an ND hater as I grew up with both sides of my family being ND fans but I went to Michigan. I follow the Irish but probably not as much as you do. However I do know how football coaches operate and why would a coach tell his star QB to go to the draft if the following season he would need to win to keep his job. That is all I am saying.

Not trying to be a killjoy, but the bravado level around here is a bit surpising. There was a day when I fully shared your confidence, bordering on cockiness and arrogance. But that day is long gone after records of 3-9 and 5-7 (including an 0-7 finish vs. FBS teams). Me, I'll take a wait-and-see attitude to South Bend. Hopefully, you're right.

If I understand correctly, it's never off-topic when a talented QB who plays for a rival declares for the draft. I hope everyone who playes for ND, is eligible to declare, and has enough talent to be drafted declares. I would love to see UM "welcome" the new coach next year by leaving South Bend with a relatively easy victory. It would be nice for momentum going into the Big Ten portion of the season.

How can it be semi-OT? I've always found the semi-OT label to be the strangest of all. Is it OT? Is it not OT? Personally, I feel like an informative topic name is all that's required. If I can read the title and understand that Claussen is going pro, then I don't really and OT or semi-OT label to decipher what the thread is about.

tear his ACL? has he ever started a game? if ND goes 6-6 WITH CLAUSEN and Golden tate they damn sure are not going to be better without them sorry. There is talent there, but are we still sure rudolph is not going pro? and with a coaching change just can't see it. Michigan is returning 9 starters on offense including QB 4 O-lineman TE and all their WR's except greg matthews. So I personally think it is not acceptable to lose to the Irish next year, the only thing you have going for you is the game is at home, which to be honest means nothing you lost to navy twice at home and a 3-9 syracuse team on SENIOR day. Will floyd have like 150 yards recieving 2 TD's yeah prolly but allen doesn't scare anyone around here at ALL. I have not even touched on your GARBAGE defense which is about as bad as ours. Soooo yeah ND will lose bad really bad like 38-14 bad

1. Crist won't need to be Clausen, he has a stronger arm and wheels. He will have high expectations on him but wont follow the same path to achieve them 2. The only Teo rumors are coming from fans who want him at their school. He will be making a decision on whether he is going on his two year mission (by Jan. I think)

Jimmy huh? You could go with James or Jim and you like Jimmy...hmmm. He has an NFL arm no doubt but on the field so many examples of Douchebaggery. From his "butt dance" against U of M to his mouthing the sidelines at Stanford I wonder about his personality being accepted at the pro level. Of course off the field you can make a facebook page of all the strange and bizzare photo opportunites he finds himself in. Charlie protected "Jimmy" with the biggest O-Line in college football, two of the best recievers in college football and he almost always kept extra blockers and went max protect. If "Jimmy" catches a break and can back up an Orton in Denver for two years maybe he fairs better then Brady. However "Jimmy's" general Douchebaggery I just dont see NFL success.
