UVA deserves it better than Michigan. UVA played a hard ACC sched and did well.

They lost by 35 to the third best team in the awful SEC. Damn people are quick to judge seeding on the latest game instead of body of work.
UVA is 6-7 versus the top 50. UM went 15-8. I know UVa came on in the ACC, but maybe that points to the weakness of that conference as much as anything.
Their ACC schedule was not difficult. They only played Duke, Syracuse, UNC and Pitt once. They're a good team but their schedule isn't a strong point.
This could literally be said for every team in the tournament.
Does MSU always celebrate like they won the natty?
2 seed in midwest will probably be better than 1 in east anyway.
You can't punish Wichita St. by putting the best 2-seed in their region.
We'd be a 2-seed in the East so 4th and 5th teams (likely UVA and Michigan) would be in the same region.
Why the down votes for this thread? Because it was made 45 minutes prior to the selection show? If so, why is that a big deal?

I'm fine with that...Michigan is 2-seed in the East with UVA.
I would love that. Awesome defense seems to sputter against an awesome offense in the tournament (at least against a Beilein offense). Not enough time to prepare for it.
...they're A LOT like a B1G team, especially MSU and Wisconsin.
That and I want to be able to watch the game. I'm hoping for a Friday evening game so I can drink during it. I'm not like many people here and booze on a work night.
I'm interested to see if we get a better draw as a 2 seed than we would have as a 1. This loss could end up being a blessing in disguise.

So just look at our route vs. UVA's (the likely 4th #1)...we'll both be in the East.
As long as we avoid OK ST in the second round, I'm happy.

Now if you push Michigan down more and say jump them by Villanova. Then you can make a case for Michigan to be in the Midwest.

I think the last 1-seed should go to UVA, but Louisville might sneak in and steal it thanks to Pitino's politicking (and the fact that they're playing well). We'll be a 2-seed.
