Section 35 is lame
I sat in section 35 row 2 with a friend for the second half of today's game. That section was lame. I stood and cheered during almost every defensive play and people were giving me dirty looks. The one play I didn't cheer caused the woman in front of me turn around and comment that I was loosing my enthusiasm.
Any of you have a good section today?

Section 15 was lame as well. A lot of the time I would quesiton why some of these people were even coming to the game. 4 people to my right a guy was told to sit down by a blue hair.

worst BTN f'ups today (and there were many) was a fly over of the student section and Charissa Thompson says something to the effect of "these students haven't stopped making noise since...". THe only problem was EVERYONE WAS STANDING AROUND FRIGGING MUTE.
The stadium additions will only keep noise in if the fans make it.

Section 13 was pretty solid.
Although me being upset that UM was beating Eastern by 7 at half despite the Eagles running the same counter run to the left 20 times was seen as "non-faithful".
I also made an incredibly sarcastic "season's over" joke when Tate went down and got a few dirty looks.

That represents what, something like a couple of thousand UM fans. Now granted, they aren't all super fans like you, Marc.
But the only thing that I am convinced is lame is this OP.

Just as not every game is deserving of the Muppets, every game is not deserving of everyone standing and screaming the entire game. The crowd was there when we needed them last week (we NEVER sat down the entire game in Section 4 last week). This week was a bit more relaxing. Lots of sitting -- standing only for the spectacular plays (and there were many of those).

way. If painting yourself maize and blue is your thing, then go for it.
But people shouldn't go thumping their chest how they're so much better of a UM fan than everyone else because of the limits to which they push their behavior.

Let me know where you're sitting so I dont sit in that area. And yes thumping your chest and being loud is what people do at sporting events. You might not like it but thats how it is.

Apparently not according to Marc-from-Novi in section 35.
As far as me "not liking it" I don't like how some judge a group of people based on a very limited experience. Marc's post of the section 35 being lame would be akin to me judging the people of Novi as being lame based on his post.

we had 2 people show up for the game with 7 mins to go in the 1st half, and then leave to get ahead the half time rush with 1 min to go....why even bother coming to your seats for 6 f'ing mins??? then after half time they got back to there seats 5 mins into the 3rd. you know you are going to watch a football game, so why don't you go and watch it??? oh and there was a woman sitting beside them wearing a OSU visor.

With 7 mins left a friend of mine (who might not be a friend after this move) said he had to leave the game early and drive home because his girl friend/master said he had to clean the house. And he wasn't entertaining any guests for the next couple of days. LAME!!!

The stadium is usually pretty relaxed for MAC opponents. I was actually rather impressed at how loud the crowd got a few times.

Up where I sit (Row 83), we were jammin' the whole game.
Some folks even did us the service of not showing up and gave us some place to put our feet and water bottles.

great end zone seats for me and my buddy. Third straight game for me this year and it was well worth it. Even better was the forcier chant when he went down, you would've thought Jesus Christ had descended on the big house when he got up

i was in 39 for western, 37 for notre dame, and i was in 6 today. considering it was an average mac team nobody really got loud today, but 39 and 37 were so loud during western and notre dame, you couldn't talk to the person next to you even if you yelled.
edit: Section 6 if full of old people and it kinda sucked today. i definately didn't have as much fun today as i did during notre dame or western =(
