The title says it all. Thats a bummer, especially if it was Burbridge.
Edit: This is from Wolverine Nation
It was Chris Muller, and Tommy was late to the party on this news. As per usual.
TomVH is rarely late on big news. Now certain insiders have better relationships with different recruits, and they can break a story quicker. Take Kyle Kalis for instance, TomVH broke that story before anyone. Also, go back to Dee Hart, Tom knew he was going to commit here before anyone else did.
Maybe Tom is simply honoring his word to keep the story under wraps until a certain time, and others are violating that same promise to break the story early. Between Carty and Rosenberg, we definitely learned that the media isn't above lying to teenagers to get a story.
My guess: Tom is "old school" and ethical, and is getting "beaten" on occasion by people who are less than honest to recruits and their parents.
how is he late per usual?? compared to who? you?? sorry, but i think most people would agree that "tommy" has all given us lots of great information, and before anyone else.

Also, apparently the ship has sailed on David Perkins.
That must have hurt. I hope he's okay.
What the hell is that? I'm not looking to be insulting, but c'mon.
We're gonna play with toughness, we're gonna be responsible and we're gonna play with toughness. This is Michigan.
Pretty sure that the secret 4* was Evan Goodman.
No it wasn't, that was confirmed over at wolverine nation. It wasn't goodman.
Touchdown Manningham! MICHIGAN WINS!
Looks like Goodman was going to visit too, along with the secret recruit, and now neither are coming. Oh well. Just give us Garnett.
Lets make sure the facts are straight. There was mention of a 4star recruit, who is currently committed to another school that was contemplating a visit to UM NEXT WEEKEND (the weekend of the 20th). This 4star recruit did not want his name out there for various reasons that are unknown. It was not Goodman because his visit was known to be this weekend, the 13th. Muller came out quickly after the allstar game to reaffirm his commitment to Rutgers. There was no "secret visitor", it was a target who was thinking of visiting but wanted to remain a secret until he decided to visit.
The fact is no one knows who the target is, no one really knows if he will still visit. So why don't we just focus on what we do know, we have '12 and '13 targets coming in this weekend that would do wonders for our program. I hope we just leave the posts that focus on speculation to the other boards.
So what you're saying is that we as fans can't come to a blog site and speculate? Where is the fun in that?
He probably came onto this board and said fuck that, it isnt a secret anymore! Thanks guys you blew it.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.
I don't know if this was in jest, but it may be more true than you think. A recruiting guru we all trust stated that it wasn't supposed to get out, and then it kind of did, and the prospect has basically gone dark. Kind of sad actually. At least said recruiting guru actually stayed true to his word and gave no hint whatsoever on who this prospect might be, and only begrudgingly admitted there was such a prospect after it became known from other sites.
Goodman canceling and going to Arkansas is what happened, but Tom confirmed he's not the secret visitor
I piss excellence and poop gold
I am guessing it was Camren Williams canceling with Armani Reeves. I am guessing the coaching staff told them that they would no longer be recruiting Williams because we are filled up at Linebacker. Reeves may have decided that he's not interested if they are a package deal.
It was Andrus "Stefon" Burbridge. It's too bad he's not coming. I feel like the coaches could have convinced him to be our next great at the position of receiver tackle.
The known official visitors are the only visitors.
It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future. -- Yogi Berra
Full details tomorrow...
but this guy is supposed to be visiting now.
Can we be required to have 1000 points before we can post? I'll take the hit for a little longer. Or some kind of MgoExam that prepares us for the posting privledge.
It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.
Preferably the test or a time period waiting list sort of thing, otherwise guys like me will never post. I just prefer to lurk and absorb information rather than post, though requiring 1000 points would mean that I would not be posting until 2030 or sometime around then.
Silly toilet, post new forum topics, not responses to already posted ones.

Oh no! The mystery recruit whose identity was not known or confirmed is no longer visiting. Can we really be too disappointed when this might have never even been in the works? I'm not going to lose sleep over cancelled visits that could have lacked validity in the first place.
However, I do like and respect Sam Webb and Tom VH.

... we hardly knew ye. But ye entered our hearts, so I composed this little ditty for ye:
"Oh, Secret Visiting 4-Star Recruit,
you (almost) came and gave without taking
and (someone evidently) sent you away
Oh ,Secret Visiting 4-Star Recruit"
"You know, for a bartender/bookie, you're pretty judgmental."
I had a magic invisible scroll that said you all owe me $100, but I broke it so it is null and void.
Damnit. I really wanted that money.
Tenim un nom el sap tothom. Barca, Barca, BAAARCA!
I mean, if a secret recruit isn't a secret recruit, did it really happen? This is why even teasing this stuff unless you're sure is kinda irresponsible. Shouldn't say "well, I know a secret recruit is coming...but I was told to not say anything...so I'm just saying this." If they want you to say it, say it, if they don't, don't say anything. Pretty simple. Prevents silliness like this.

See this is the down side of having such a tremendous start to recruting...I need my fix!

I was thinking this pretty much exactly. Why say that you know something but it's a secret. That's a throwback to second grade.
NOMNOMNOMNOM
was reportedly thinking of visiting but is staying committed to Rutgers.
