for having a bias towards the ESS SEE SEE is like complaining that NBC is biased towards ND. I mean, yeah of course they are. Besides Army-Navy, do they call any other conferences games?

Man, I want to watch this SEC game and just enjoy the game, but...

Watching Mizzu score after getting the ball at their 7 yard line with a little over one minute until the half... reminds me of what....?

Hoke really REALLY should have tried to get some points at the end of the 1st half.  I like Hoke's aggressiveness usually, but I feel that was a MAJOR blunder than bit us in the ass at the end of the game.  I stil can't believe he would just sit on it against a team like Ohio.

DAMN!

(get over it, I know.  I'm trying)

So let's compare end-of-the-half drives here.

Missouri gets the ball at their own 8 with 1:10 on the clock down 8 points. Drives down the field and scores.

Michigan gets the ball at their own 20 with 1:03 on the clock in a tie game. Gets a first down, runs out the clock.

Which would you rather have?

There are of course other options.

Gardner could throw a pick or fumble, or our offense could simply be stopped (I believe Ohio had some timeouts) and then they would be the ones with a chance to score at the end of the half.  And then I bet you'd be complaining about us not playing it safe afterwards, since you seem to be always complaining.

No.  After we got that first down run, THEN is when I would have played aggressive.  Bad things can always happen.  You can play call to try and avoid disaster (throwing deep, or telling DG to take sacks rather than risks, for example).  If we would have been stopped, no worries.  Not trying, for me, brought worries.  As it turns out, I might have been correct.

You usually have to take some sort of risks to win.  If you are afraid to take any, you will likely lose.  That is a general, but very true statement.

"OSU likely 60 mins away from a bid to the NCG" - someone on Fox

Is everyone in the national media really writing off MSU like that?  I think MSU has a great shot tonight..

Maybe I'm putting too much thought into it, but the Dr. Pepper $100,000 football chuck has always rubbed me the wrong way.

It's great to see the winner's joy and think that he can build a great future with the education afforded by his winnings, but what of the loser?

I see the loser's life falling apart.  I see her staring at the ceiling every night, thinking what might have been-- what that education money could have made possible.  I find it scary to think that her future could depend so much on whether she could throw one more ball through a stupid hole.  I feel like this competition produces both a good-feel story and a hidden, tragic one.

Anywho, go Tigers!

That our coaches don't acknowledge that tempo can give you a decided advantage.

You don't have to run a warp speed like Auburn or Baylor. But just using it to keep the defense off balance or to get a rhythm is worth it. Maybe not every possession, but why not sometimes? Just like why not throw screens sometimes?

We are so prehistoric that it drives me nuts.

Give your players the best chance to win...quit trying to be old school.

Start of the 4th quarter and the announcers are talking Mack Brown being out of a job. Nice.

For god's sake CBS please stop showing that last play of the Auburn/Bama game. Was it really necessary to add sparkles to it ????????????

Because it was magical.

...thank GOD for that play, I haven't seen DG laying lifeless nearly as much as I thought I would.

We of all teams (Clowney hit) know how much the media will fall in love with one play.
