I love how Danielson is slurping up the read option attack now.  What a derpfaced slappy.

Watching Auburn's rushing attack makes me sad that we're going to Manball. :(

Is this the Auburn announcing crew or CBS National?  Wow are they shilling for Auburn right now - if I actually gave a shit about Missouri I'd be pissed.

And Gary wears a midget dressed as a troll dressed as Jim Rome on his. Gary definitely has an ass for a hat as well. He is far worse than Verne (2006 Florida hyping during game when they beat Arkansas; I care not for arguments about Florida jumping M and validating jump by waxing OSU 5 weeks after we played them, as I wanted another shot at OSU for the MNC).

I cannot stand OSU, but they absolutely should be in the championship game if they win. I dont know where CBS./ESPN concluded that the SEC gets an auto-bid to the championship game. The bottom of the conference sucks just as hard as any other league. The only really good teams in it this year are Alabama, Auburn, and Mizzou(?)

That would probably be a Top5 team in Alabama and a top 15 team in Missouri.  Don't start quoting where a team was ranked when you played them.  That is garbage.  And Auburn got soundly beaten by LSU.  They were down 21 at the start of the 4th. LSU went up 14 about 5 minutes in to the game and Auburn never got closer.

Ohio had a nice run game, no bias but this Auburn running attack is nuts. Unlike Mattison and Michigan vs the Bucks, Mizzou is actually trying different tactics to slow Auburn down (tinkering between a three man line and four man line)....not working!

The only good offenses Missouri faced were Tex A&M and S.Carolina.  They played Georgia when Georgia had lost both running backs.  They didn't exactly play a daunting schedule to say the least.  Their hardest road game was Georgia and they had nothing left by the time that happened.

I'll repeat: they held EVERY single opponent under their rushing yard average, in the SEC. Every single one. And you want to talk about "X team had an injury" and whom they played on the road. You ever been accused of not giving a team credit where credit is due? The point still stands whichever way you want to try to justify it; Auburn has a dominant running game. That being said, Mizzou is also a hell of a team

Look, I think Mattison is an awesome d coordinator. But he didn't adapt, and changed nothing when it was apparent what Ohio was going to do.....over, and over and over again. The only point I was trying to make is unlike Mattison, Mizzou is actually attempting at shaking things up on defense. And nothing is working. I've only seen a few missed tackles by Mizzou, what I have seen more times than not is an Auburn tailback 10 yards down field before a white jersey is even in the position to either make or miss the tackle.

I cannot stand listening to the CBS announcers slurp the SEC all game long

No offense? "Gary, SEC defense so gud"

No defense? "Verne, SEC offense so dinamik. Boner"

Settling into this game after being out for a couple hours. To this point, 369 yards on 37 plays for Auburn, or basically about 10 yards per snap. They are also getting 0.757 points per play, so as someone above said, it seems like 277 yards of rushing would basically warrant the "Holy Rushing Game!" exclamation.

At the risk of sounding cliché football comes down to blocking and tackling. If you can't block it doesn't matter what scheme you run. It seems so simple but as we saw with Michigan it matters so much.

This is fun to watch. I get a sort of RR-era West Vrigina vibe from Mizzou in the way they are seemingly hybrid-type guys, really fast and agressive and athletic on defense especially. And the way they both check and re-check to defensive/offensive calls while at LOS...makes me envious.

It would be interesting to analyse how the national announcers call SEC games relative to the score they are watching.

9-6 Alabama over LSU was an example of their fantastic defenses and was announced as such

28-20 Auburn over Missouri (at the half) is an example of their fantasic offenses and is being anounced as such

Heads you win....tails I lose.

Anyone else think that it is strange when a conference recognizes players and teams that weren't part of the conference when they played? Mizzu QB from the 70's getting recognized and awarded something by the SEC is strange to me.

...would be the first year that two teams from the same conference won the National Championship?

What exactly IS the B1G official line on this?  The B1G Network routinely shows Tommie Frazier highlights when showing their montage clips spotlighting all the teams in the conference...is this one of those things that we just politely agree not to talk about or what?
