Season tickets, has anyone physically received them yet?

Submitted by Quail2theVict0r on

I'm not sure if this is board worthy but I'm getting a little nervous about my tickets coming. In the past 3-4 years, since I've had season tickets, I've usually got them in the mail by Mid to late July. Being that it's now August 1st I'm wondering if I'm the only one who hasn't gotten them yet (and should promptly call the ticket office) or if for some reason they're running a little late this year.

I'm 100% positive that I've received them in mid-July because I take the same family trip every year and in the last two years I've gotten them either directly before or in the pile of mail when I returned. The only time I ever got tickets in August was when I was on the ticket waiting list and I had the "go blue pack" or whatever was the equivalent for that year. Those always seemed to arrive a few weeks later.

Post them if you do because I collect ticket stubs and would love to see the designs. Hope they aren't oversized like last year because they get bent up when you put them in your hoodie pockets.

To make you feel better about the title snafu, my first reaction to your post was "Heck, no.  They don't show up until August."  Lucky, my computer screen has the date on it.

I don't normally get them until mid August.

...in related news, I did receive my confirmation from the Notre Dame athletic department that I am going to receive 8 tickets for the night game at ND.  Oddly, I am paying face value and the seats are on the 30 yard line, row 11.  I have to say... I likey lots!

First off, someone on this board has a hard-on for negging every post I make, so I can't wait for the (-1 Trolling) for answering your question.  Everyone on this blog is evidently smarter than the guy who has less points or Karma value than the next guy, so I get hammered because I threaten the validity of those with 3,000..10,000...25,000 points... so be it.  They are the kings of the internet, meanwhile, I get 8 tickets to ND on the 30 and pay face.

So, here's how I did it.  I made a small contribution to ND last year of $5,000.  Before you call me a traitor, keep in mind, I am a Victors Club member and pay $2,000 per year in PSDs. I never miss a home game, and I typically go to 1-2 away games per year. Because of that donation, I was able to get an entry into the ND lottery for tickets.  Keep in mind, that this "lottery" is basically a no-lose proposition in that you prepay for the tickets that you want, and you basically get what you request.  So, for this season, the max I could request for any game was 6 tickets.  So, I did what any moron with -700 MGoPoints would do, I bought 6 tickets to the @ Sparty game, UM game and the @USC game.  I am using all 6 to the Michigan game (obviously), but guess where the 6 to Sparty and USC are going?  Let's just say, I'll cover the $5000 donation and all 18 tickets with the proceeds.

The saddest thing about this is that I was limited to only 4 tickets to ND through the Michigan Ticket office, and I had to beg for those despite the fact I have over 700 PSD points.  It was easier to get tickets from the school I don't support than it is to get them from the school that I have had season tickets for since 1973.

received mine yet.  I did look at the ND website and they have a SOLD OUT on the Mich - ND game (shocker).  Are there any that will be available to victors club members?  How much are we going to get railed for tickets on the secondary market?

People on the blog should have a contest for who can design the coolest michigan SHOE through nike id (its a part of nike's website where anyone can design shoes). I don't have enough points to start a thread but someone should start this, I'd definetely buy a pair.

I've always wanted some nice michigan shoes but never could find any

I'll probably get negged for this but this thread is the only one I've seen that's remotely logical to bring this up. Why in the hell are nose bleed tickets to the Air Force game going for $100 on stub hub?? My Dad is a retired service member and I want to take him to the game but give me a break! Should I hold out or bite the bullet?

Doubful the University has sold out of the AF game, however it is the home opener.  I purchased a set of 10 w/ 5 piggy backed onto another 5 on Monday without any issues.  If by chance their sold out.... hold out as long as you can before purchasing from Stubhub, I expect tickets on the secondary market to creep down to the $50 range for this game.

So I got the last two. (Actually, I think you acknowledged they were available, this was just in case anyone reading the follow up posts thought maybe they were gone. And I released my 2 anyway. ;-)
