Season Ticket Concern

Submitted by tdcarl on

So I ordered my first set of student season tickets for football a week ago with an electronic check and they still haven't taken the money out of my account. I'm starting to get worried that there may be something wrong. So my question to anyone with experience is how long does it usually take for them to "cash" your payments? Should I be concerned or am I just getting paranoid over nothing?

They are notoriously slow. It always takes longer than it should. Call them if you want to confirm they have your info, but generally this is just normal.

Alright thanks. I was just a bit worried since both the tickets and the $217 I spent are rather important to me. I have the confirmation email and such, but I was still a little uneasy that they haven't taken their money yet.

If he wants to worry about something important he should be worrying about:

1. Hypothetical 4-sub-division Big Ten rotating schedules

2. More expansion theories

3. Hypothetical predictions of UM's 2011 Wins/Losses and the reasoning behind them.

Preferably with a diary or forum thread for his personal opinion on each.

They are always slow about it. Just don't forget that it happened, because in my experience it tends to shake down like this:

1. You get charged immediately and it comes up as a pending charge.

2. It disappears the very next day.

3. 2-3 weeks later, it instantly goes through and you are a lot poorer.

Same process tends to happen for hockey and for road game tickets to. Why it always shows up as pending fr a day or two and then disappears for weeks I'm not sure I understand, but that's the way it goes, so you just have to remember to keep that much in your account at all times until it goes through.
