Seantral Henderson playing on tv in minneapolis

Submitted by gujd on
Just turned on the TV and C-D Hall was playing. Seantral doesn't look as big compared to the rest of the players as I'd thought. Also, kind of surprised he doesn't also play defense, given his size and athletic ability, I would think at the HS level he would be a dominant DT. His team is up 7-0 late in the first. EDIT: He was just in on defense on 3rd down. Doesn't seem like an every down defensive player, but he could have just been getting a breather to start the drive.

Eh, I quit tracking his recruitment when he essentially dropped us by not visiting for PSU game. Glad coaches pushed hard to land him; we'll need that focus to pick up some good OL for next recruiting class.

on the last 3rd down. Guy just brought him upfield and cut inside and he looked clueless. They ended up punting. With the caveat of I know very little about talent evaluation, I would not expect him to see the field next year as a freshman. Even at 300 lbs, it looks like he needs to add weight for the next level.

wut? Seantrel is 6'8", 305 pounds. He regularly lifts weights with current and former NFL players, and lifts at much as they do. You think he needs to add weight to be a lineman in college? Pad level may need to be worked on, yes. Techique, yes. But I think he should be able to play, based on his measurables, right now.

Seantrel batted a critical pass and had a sack. Eden Prairie's D swarmed Cretin's QB, but never beat his side. There was at least one replay showing Henderson pwning his pathetically overmatched guy. He's the real deal, not that it's really a significant issue for this message board.
