Sean Parker Enjoys Michigan Visit
"It was a good visit, I would call it my best visit so far," Parker said. "All the visits are similar in a lot of ways with the campus tours and meeting the academic people. This was my visit where I didn't see a football game since the season is over but we did see a basketball game for a half and that was cool.
"Overall, I loved the facilities and they have great academics at Michigan as well. It can get cold but it's not a big deal for me, it's nothing I can't overcome. I like Coach (Rich) Rodriguez and I like the opportunity to play early as well so Michigan definitely has a lot of pluses for me."

And don't forget the prenup, I don't want him dipping out on us after a year and a half.
December 7th, 2009 at 12:22 PM ^
know what sucks thou, he is going to visit USC which is like a death wish to all possiable michigan commits
December 7th, 2009 at 12:50 PM ^
"Possessing the necessary qualities of or having sufficient grounds to form a posse."
Yes, my friend, with Rich Rodriguez, all things are possiable.
December 7th, 2009 at 1:03 PM ^
lol yeah anything is POSSIBLE under RICH like going 3-9 and 5-7 at michigan
December 7th, 2009 at 1:26 PM ^
Until there is a spell check on here I can't fault people for misspelling things every once in a while.
December 7th, 2009 at 1:28 PM ^
Everyone should have Google Chrome...much faster and has a built in spell-checker I believe.
December 7th, 2009 at 2:52 PM ^
So does Firefox.
December 7th, 2009 at 3:22 PM ^
Same with Safari. You can probably tell what computer I'm on if there are dumb spelling errors.
December 7th, 2009 at 1:30 PM ^
Smitty D's misspellings aren't "every once in a while."
December 7th, 2009 at 1:36 PM ^
know its funny, its like I work all day, than during some breaks I check rivals every once in a while, and come on mgoblog maybe post a comment. I spell 1 word wrong and I have to have somebody correct me like I am at work lol I laugh at it
December 7th, 2009 at 1:40 PM ^
It's not that you spell one word wrong; you spell many words wrong. Moreover, your punctuation is atrocious.
Have you learned about capitalization, the period, and the apostrophe? What are they teaching high schoolers these days?
December 7th, 2009 at 1:51 PM ^
"lol i laugh at it". The LOL implies that you laughed at it already... out loud even!
December 7th, 2009 at 1:38 PM ^
I hope that didn't come off as a mere spelling attack... Just using it as a springboard more than anything. Everyone kills people, everyone misspells.
December 7th, 2009 at 1:51 PM ^
I like six zero
December 7th, 2009 at 12:10 PM ^
I get a kick out of reading the comments from these guys after their visits. You can tell how much these coaches are in their heads with negative recruiting. They usually mention something about the weather, probably because some coach in the SEC mentions that U of M Is actually just outside of the arctic circle, and their team hasn't been north of the mason dixon line in 100 years. Then, they mention something about "family values" as every coach tells them how warm and fuzzy they are with their players. Like Urban Meyer is going to come to their dorm room at night with a cup of cocoa and a hug to sit down and discuss why they missed that crucial block.
December 7th, 2009 at 12:12 PM ^
They should know better. Let's be honest, Meyer reserves his dorm room hot cocoa visits solely for Tim Tebow.
December 7th, 2009 at 12:23 PM ^
Any day now, or waiting until the official day for signing letters of intent?
December 7th, 2009 at 12:24 PM ^
According to scout he waiting until Signing Day to announce his decision.
December 7th, 2009 at 12:24 PM ^
Parker has said that he wants to leave the State of California.
December 7th, 2009 at 12:53 PM ^
thats awesome, the just ridiculous amout of DEPTH WE DON'T HAVE AT SAFTEY this kid has to be top priority, like top of the list
December 7th, 2009 at 1:24 PM ^
Is it really that difficult to spell and punctuate properly?
December 7th, 2009 at 1:30 PM ^
I thought using "thou" for "though" was much worse than the typo in "possiable."
December 7th, 2009 at 1:59 PM ^
I have a question. Do you have a favorite brother? Shawn, Damon, or keenan Ivory?
December 7th, 2009 at 2:02 PM ^
BURN VICTIM!
December 7th, 2009 at 2:09 PM ^
No. Do you have a high school diploma?
December 7th, 2009 at 2:19 PM ^
Take a fucking pill and get off your high horse. I can tell you one thing: Most people here (and I stress most, not all) are far more concerned with a posts substance rather than the spelling.
Smitty may make some mistakes in his spelling (which I attribute to typo's rather than the lack of knowledge as to how a word is spelled) but at least his posts add something to the board.....as opposed to clowns that only come on here to correct peoples spelling mistakes, not mentioning names......
Seriously, give the guy a break.
December 7th, 2009 at 2:28 PM ^
Read this:
"[you] know its funny, its like I work all day, than during some breaks I check rivals every once in a while, and come on mgoblog maybe post a comment. I spell 1 word wrong and I have to have somebody correct me like I am at work lol I laugh at it"
He can't spell AND can't punctuate. His posts appear to have been written by a 12-year-old.
Really, it's not that hard to spell and punctuate properly. I promise.
December 7th, 2009 at 2:36 PM ^
I am not saying that it is hard, I am saying that it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Unlike some posts, with his I can at least understand what he is trying to say and most of it seems to be on point ime.
December 7th, 2009 at 4:28 PM ^
to be honest I like it when people don't punctuate and capitalize everything 100% correctly. as opposed to their post reading like it was written by a high-school-English-teaching-robot, it reads with more personality. for people like Brian and Tom, of course, it is more important to be grammatically correct (etc.) because their content is the official production of this website, not tag-along forum stuff.
unless every single word is spelled incorrectly and their post is GLARINGLY FOURTH GRADE-ISH OH EM GEE (not the case with the poster you're criticizing) then I don't see the problem.
December 7th, 2009 at 2:28 PM ^
Like you have no idea what I do. You have no idea I own my own business, no idea that I donated 15,000 dollars to the michigan solar car team this year. I come on this blog to talk about and read about Michigan. Not correct people to fuel my inferior complex.
Good day to you sir
December 7th, 2009 at 2:38 PM ^
Your business had $2.6 million in revenue this year with just three employees? I laugh at your meager earnings. My business did $100 million last month with ZERO employees.
But really, retard, the question was whether you graduated from high school--not whether you "own a business."
[EDIT: You edited your post to delete the reference to "your business" having made $2.6 million with just three employees.]
December 7th, 2009 at 3:02 PM ^
wow, yes I do have a high school diploma. I graduated from Sterling Heights Stevenson. I edited my post because honestly you or anyone else does not need to know my income or what I do for Michigan. I let you get to me, because you were trying to force a argument. So I posted stuff that had nothing to do with it so I took it down.
December 7th, 2009 at 4:36 PM ^
Any particular reason why you're an insufferable prick?
December 7th, 2009 at 12:26 PM ^
Seriously, though, I feel for these kids trying to make these decisions. Every coach they talk to is lying to them, they are taking counsel from parents who more than likely have never played college football or even been to college, their high school coach (how smart do you remember your HS football coach/ gym teacher being?) and other 17 year old kids. If you believe some of the goofs on this site, they might also be scouring blogs looking for random fans speaking poorly of them so they can check that school off of their lists, but I doubt it. Then, after they make the most important choice of their life, the coach that convinced them takes off to ND. That is tough.
December 7th, 2009 at 12:26 PM ^
Parker is probably #1 on my list of what [realistic] commits I would most like Michigan to get.
Seantrel Henderson, Latwan Anderson, Jordan Hicks, etc. are all great uncommitted players, but they're not going to come here.
December 7th, 2009 at 12:34 PM ^
At all realistic? 'Cause that would be a good one too, IME.
December 7th, 2009 at 12:42 PM ^
I believe he committed to WVU within the past week or so. Could be wrong, though.
December 7th, 2009 at 12:46 PM ^
But the free page on Scout lists him as a soft verbal to WVU, and has an Ann Arbor visit date for last weekend. Did he actually make it up this time?
December 7th, 2009 at 12:46 PM ^
He committed to WV, but it's a very soft commit and is still visiting UM.
December 7th, 2009 at 1:38 PM ^
Ash's comment was it's a verbal it is non binding.
December 7th, 2009 at 2:00 PM ^
Yes, Ash gave a verbal commitment to WVU, but it's just that, a verbal commitment. He took an official visit to Michigan this past weekend AFTER he committed to WVU. I would say that if he's still taking officials then he's still open.
December 7th, 2009 at 12:42 PM ^
This is one that would really help. Rashad Knight would be very close though. And I still don't know what the hell we are going to do about class size limits.
December 7th, 2009 at 12:36 PM ^
If he really wants to leave Cali we will welcome him with open arms. The kids got game and would be a welcome sight in the secondary next year. I wonder what effect he would have on the other safeties- as we already have three verbals in this class?
December 7th, 2009 at 12:40 PM ^
Meant to put up a new post, disregard this.
December 7th, 2009 at 12:49 PM ^
(response to the post he moved, sorry)
So you are saying that you don't WANT UofM to be sleazy, but you would accept it if it meant we were better sooner. We could also get better recruits if we put players in nice houses (cough..USC...cough) or get them laid on recruiting visits (cough...LSU, Florida...cough). How do you feel about that?
December 7th, 2009 at 12:45 PM ^
STW P. Brabbs: Ash is somewhat realistic, although not probable. He committed to WVU, and Pahokee's coach preaches that kids should follow through with their commitments. But he's interested in Michigan, if only because of Smith, Hawthorne, Odoms, etc. Still, I'd say he's kind of a long shot at this point.
Maize and Blue 4 life: I don't know that Parker would have a huge effect on the other three safeties. Parker is a strong safety type, and both Marvin 'n' Carvin are free safety types. Vinopal is the only other strong safety type who's committed, and I guess I've made it pretty clear how I feel about Vinopal over the past couple days... If it changes his mind, that won't bother me too much.
December 7th, 2009 at 1:19 PM ^
"If it changes his mind, that won't bother me too much."
...yeah, vinopal is going to decommit bc he read about how you don't like him. what a delusional retard/douchebag.
