Scouting Report: Ty Isaac

Submitted by Magnus on

This week's scouting report is on Ty Isaac, the Illinois running back that so many Michigan fans desperately seem to want.  I think some of the criticisms of his running style have been overblown, although he does still have some holes in his game.  Overall, I like him a little bit more now that I've really sat down and watched him.

GREAT acceleration, burst, whatever for a bigger back.  Once he sees daylight, he's through it pretty quick.  Seems to have good vision too.

Commit already! Dude wants to come to Michigan but he is slow playing it. Side note in regards to competition he plays against. When you can ball, you can ball. The competition seems avg. At best IMO, I live in Southern Cali (Inland Empire) and the 3 schools here in my city have at least 10 players gonna go to D1 schools on scholarship, Hawkins from Rancho lives down the street from me and his whole Defensive Backfield has scholarship offers From power house schools like Alabama, SC, Michigan, Florida, Stanford, and a bunch more.

I just hope Isaac doesn't pull a Garnett and just lead us on all spring and summer.

Issac seems more grounded than Garnett.  Garnett was milking the attention near the end.  Still don't believe he didn't have a school selected right before the announcement, especially when it had been scheduled for weeks.
