Scouting Report: Jonathan Allen
This week's scouting report is on Jonathan Allen, a defensive end from Stone Bridge High School in Virginia. Allen was recently named the #100 player in the Rivals 100 and sports a Michigan offer. Perhaps he (and others) might not be too happy with my comparison to Ken Wilkins, who was also a 4-star defensive end coming out of high school, but that's what I see when I watch him.

Jonathan Allen sounds like an NFL name. Obviously, we should pick him up for that reason alone.

I agree that it sounds like an NFL name. Maybe because of Jared Allen, although I'm pretty sure they're not related.

Haha I thought about the Jared Allen angle, that could definitely be it. For some reason, Jonathan Allen sounds like a running back to me. Maybe it's Jonathan Stewart.
In either case, good scouting report. We're getting in on some really good MD and VA talent this year.

I feel for the Kozan kid. Deciding on a college should not be this hard.
A) You want to be in the South
B) You want to be in a corn field
C) You want to play in front of 112,000 fans.

I think the coaches might be waiting to see what Kozan does before offering any centers. So far we haven't offered any, and we haven't really gone after many guards, either (although a couple "tackles" look like they'll end up at guard to me).

Reports were not positive after the fall, but anything can happen.
