Scouting Report: Erick Smith
This morning's scouting report is on Cleveland (OH) Glenville safety Erick Smith. Glenville, obviously, has sent a couple guys to Michigan in recent years after a long drought. Word is that Smith likes the Buckeyes, just like many Glenville products; but if Urban Meyer screws things up or if Brady Hoke turns on the charm, then Michigan is right in that next group of teams who could make a move.

He has a boring name, don't want.

Boring name? Instead of just a "c" or a "k" at the end of his name, his parents used both!

Seems like his parents were to indecisive on which they preferred. I wonder if that indecisivness rubbed off on their kid, if so not sure if I want him at safety.

Also the more good players Michigan can pull out of Glenville the better. We just need Mattison to turn on the charm and say he could be just like Ed Reed.

ugh I didn't even think about the indecisiveness factor. He's probably going to commit somewhere and then change his commitment. Another reason now that I don't want.

Isn't Glenville the high school that banned Tommy Tuberville from campus? IIRC

I know their coach made a statement that as long as he was there that UC was not welcome. Had to do with their QB's scholarship not being honored.

It's Massillon (OH) Washington, the school that produced Gareon Conley, Justin Turner, and Shawn Crable. Tuberville yanked scholarship offers from kids without telling them, including QB Kyle Kempt from their school.
