So if Houston loses and is out of a BCS game the conference loses millions of dollars. I wonder if the AD at both schools are conspiring for a miraculous comeback? Even Southern Miss loses a ton of money by winning today.

Let's assume for a moment Houston drops below us in the polls. That leaves two possibilties:
A) LSU beats Georgia and we're in to the Sugar Bowl because only 2 teams from a conference can be in BCS bowls. (WE'RE IN!)
B) Georgia beats LSU (?)
My question is this: If GA beats LSU and is automatically into the Sugar Bowl and LSU presumably is still in the title game, if OSU is launched by voters to the #2 spot, does that mean that Alabama is locked out of the BCS bowls and we constructively get bumped up a spot?

If LSU loses to GA, the only thing that might save our BCS chances is OSU being bumped to #2 and LSU being knocked down to #3. There's no way LSU stays at #1 if they lose to Georgia today.

If LSU loses to Georgia, who was the resume to go above them? I was under the impression they were locked into #1.

Not if they lose this late. If they lose today they probably move down to #2 and we're out of the BCS. Forget about the H2H and think about early/late losses. You have two teams, one that lost weeks ago to the #1 team in the country and another that lost this week to a team ranked in the teens...
