Scout Using my suggestion of Hokus Pokus as the new Snake Oil

I would love to see Danny Hope's face today.

Sam Webb mentioned today that he is hearing that Hope is fuming.

I'm sure he is. I wonder what ridiculous stuff he's going to say about Hoke now that he can't rely on "Lol ur from West Virginia."
January 26th, 2011 at 12:36 PM ^
i can guarantee that hope will not diss hoke this time around, because firstly there is NO LONGER a perception of weakness, nor is the media chomping at the bit with us, and hope knows that if he WERE to knock hoke right now, it'd be career suicide because the new horns of our program would gouge him, with no chance of recovery.
the M nation is getting stronger by the minute.

I hope that when we play Purdue this year, we get out to an early lead, and Bellamy plays the entire second half, connecting with Roy Roundtree for multiple touchdowns just to see Hope's head asplode.
Note: I actually don't want to see Bellamy play this year - extra reps should go to Devin. If we see Bellamy, then something bad happened w/r/t Denard or Devin.

Imagine how pissed he'll be when we pound his team at Homecoming this October....

Imaginary +1. I for one can't wait to start re-asserting the natural order of dominance in the B1G.

Clearly I did not invent the term Hocus Pocus just the idea of using the term Hokus Pocus for the new snake oil. That's all. Just thought it was funny that scout is now using it too.

Looks like you got the last laugh. My Abbra Cadumbpost has since flamed out.
January 26th, 2011 at 12:10 PM ^
Why? It's still just a mustache with 2 eyes, a hidden nose and upper lip, and a couple visible bottom teeth.
January 26th, 2011 at 12:12 PM ^
so when Hoke wins a game is he going to dance the Hokey Pokey?? jk

You have a gift.
Now suggest to Jake Fisher and Derrien Cooper to pick UofM...
January 26th, 2011 at 12:11 PM ^
Any updates on Jake Fisher or Darien Cooper? Also when is Chris Bryant announcing?
January 26th, 2011 at 12:14 PM ^
Bryant announcing Friday if I'm not mistaken.
Fisher has an in-home visit with Hoke tomorrow. I've heard conflicting things on how likely we are to land him but the visit can't hurt. Cooper had an in-school and in-home visit yesterday with Mattison. No word yet on whether he plans to visit this weekend. He's tentative to announce Signing Day.

Cooper had an in-school and in-home visit yesterday with Mattison.
The way Mattison is recruiting I'm surprised we haven't seen the "Hello" post regarding Cooper yet.
January 26th, 2011 at 12:21 PM ^
Darian Cooper. No recent updates, but Fisher is supposed to decide soon after his visit to Oregon this weekend. He's a big get we need back (FLA boards don't even want him). We're hoping Cooper will decide to visit before signing day, but nothing firm.
Bryant announces Friday

There's a headline over at Scout by Allen Wallace from this morning that says "Cooper Says He May Visit."
January 26th, 2011 at 12:10 PM ^
I tweeted it last night to TomVH that "Danny Hope gets Hokeus Pokeus'd this time"
January 26th, 2011 at 12:21 PM ^
I was trying to think of something and all I could come up with was, "You got Danny Hopelessed!"
I like yours much better.
January 26th, 2011 at 12:54 PM ^
like that one guy on here who trademarked "hokedick".
You don't see anybody stealing his shit.
Wait, what? You mean nobody is stealing it because it is stupid and not because it was trademarked? Huh.

Hoekus Pokeus?
January 26th, 2011 at 3:51 PM ^
Maybe I can catch him at the airport to cheer him on...we could use this kid on the O line. He may, someday, remind us of another Jake on the O line. Although, the has a long way to go to be compared to Jake Long, Fisher is same height 6'7" and not too far off weight wise. Give him some more beef and good coaching and we may have another Long in the making.
Go get 'em Hokey.
