Scout lists The Opening 7on7 rosters.

Submitted by markinmsp on

Not sure of the accuracy (Laquon tweeted Shane is his QB the other day.) but Scout has posted a listing of The Opening’s 7on7 rosters: here

M recruits seem to be spilt up:

Shane QB’s the “Land Sharks”.

McQuay, McCray, and Butt are on “Alpha Talon”, QB'd by Swoopes.

Kendall Fuller and Derrick Green are with Cooper Bateman on “Super Bad”.

Laquon is on “Alpha Speed”, QB is Hackenberg.

Jourdan Lewis, Alvin Bailer are with Max Browne on “Field Generals”.

This obsessive stuff about some event called "The Opening" is getting pretty ridiculous. Surely you people have something better to occupy your mind on this 100 degree Saturday.

Not really. I just woke up, and the Tigers game isn't on until 3-something. I was thinking about putting up a list of 10-15 2014 kids likely to commit to Michigan later.

Sounds great. A good addition would be including all of their twitter handles, so we can check in on them ourselves and see what's going on with their recruitment. If any of them have younger siblings I could facebook to dig up some insider info, that would be great too.

I know, right? I hated Twitter already, but now I only go on for tomvh and kateupton. I was looking at some good Midwest previews, though, saw interviews with national prospects who grew up Michigan fans or have wolverines as coaches, trying to project what positions of need we'll have based on graduations/attrition, ect. This year the coaches were done with the class so early we couldn't even follow it, so a 2014 preview might be nice. They already have 49 offers out, and more on deck.

For the record, I wasn't ripping your idea, just making a twitter joke.  I agree that it's about time to start focusing on 2014 recruitment since we only have a handful of spots left and with another topic to discuss we'll all just speculate on who is going to decommit and who we can get to replace him.

Naw, I know. I just wish the recruiting services could catch up with the top programs a little. Michigan, Texas, A&M, and Alabama could already have half their classes committed before Rivals would have video on the kids, or post preliminary instate rankings. They're getting more obsolete every year.

But that was my original point. Mizzell fits that role even better than Norfleet. He is like having extra receiver versus having to play with a more traditional RB like Derrick Green who doesn't have the same speed, hands, or ability to run routes. And that may provide some familiarity for Shane.

For those that don't know, MI and OH are the only 2 HSAA that won't let the kids pad up here. So Taco is the only one in a shirt today

I think he meant for the DL, but this probably also means that David Dawson and Steve Elmer can't compete in 1-on-1s this weekend along with Taco Charlton.

From 247 Board:

Two notes on Taco Charlton: first, can't pad up due to Ohio state HS rules.

Secondly, he just hurdled a tackling dummy right in front of me.

Taco gets his first rep. Fast young man.

The guys from states where you can't wear pads are going now. Taco Charlton has been dominant.

Taco Charlton with a quick hesitation/stutter step and right around Shamire DeVine. Massive frame potential with Taco

Shamire DeVine moves his feet terrific and wins rep two against Taco Charlton

Twitter:

commit Taco Charlton is a very athletic DE - quick and long.

Midwest D-Linemen looking good out here: Taco Charlton, Chikwe Obasih and Elijah Daniel all winning reps

Ohio players can't pad up here but Taco Charlton, wearing just a helmet, is one of the quickest ends here

Just shot a couple pictures of Taco Charlton jumping over a blocking dummy, , you're gonna love these.. Be up shortly
