It's very well known that Harbaugh does not guarantee a fifth year for players. Not sure if the staff wasn't inviting him back for his fifth year or not.  Nothing wrong with it for either party if it is the case.  The player got his degree, can transfer without sitting out a year, gets a year of grad school for free and for some players they will get to play more.

The way I see it is that a football career after college for a long snapper is pretty damn rare. There's not a lot of them in the NFL and the good ones stick around for a long time and move from team to team if anything. With low turnover, the demand is low and you'd have to be something to behold to break into those ranks.

The man is probably thinking more about his career after football, and Vandy offered more for what his career path is.

I don't know if that's true, but it certainly makes sense to me.

Morris, Shallman, and Sypniewski choices are two Mid-American schools and what amounts to the Northwestern of the SEC (and then some). Very interesting ... in another recent post I wondered what was avaiable to the UMich grad-transferers.

Rocks. A great place to study, work and live. Sypniewski gave us his best, the coaching staff shared its evaluation with him, and Scott has decided to move. Good on him, always a Michigan Wolverine.
