I'm tired of the disappointment after predicting solid victories in recent weeks. So this week I am going with Purdue 42- UM 24. Here's hoping a bit of reverse psychology works out.
alternate headline: man does job
M 27 Purdue 21
Twilight Zone Bizzaro world pick
Purdue 31 M 28
took my strategy. I'll let your prediction stand.
Now let's hope Tate and the boys can prove us both wrong!
I know Purdue will score 27 points. I sincerely hope we score more than that.
With an umbrella-ella-ella-ay-ay-ay?
is that a neg?
drob with a monster game as he handles 4 drives himself, resulting in 2 rushing td's (one minor, one drob), one 34 yard field goal, and a goal line fumble recovered by moosman in the endzone to redeem himself. tate does well, tossing 2 tds and completing a respectable 12/17 on 2 drives. tate would play more, but drob has the hot hand going and turnovers are not an issue. M - 41, Purdue - 21.
Kentucky Wesleyan 56. We're talking about the game monday night, right?
though instead of solid victories over the last few weeks, I've been somewhat leary leading up to most conference games (MSU, Iowa, PSU and Illinois looked like a 1-3 stretch to me, excluding de facto week off DSU ... never thought 1-3 would look good from here). Was this pessimism or realism? I'm not sure. But I'm chucking both out the door this week and going with a convincing Michigan victory over the Boilers. It would be so out of character for this team. No turnovers by the O. They D takes it away a couple times. Blocks are sustained. Proper reads are made. Gaps are filled. Tackles are made with authority. Passive voice rules the day!
This is our '08 Minny game, where everything comes together and the collective Mgocommunity will scratch its head and say where did that come from? Happiness returns to Hoo-ville! Michigan 42, Purdue 21. Book it. (or not)
With 900 yards of total offense between the two teams, UM wins 7-3 with a Brandon Graham blocked punt early in the first quarter. There are 37 total turnovers.
This morning you had 888 points when I glanced at your Thread Of Awesomeness, currently you sit at 1956.
Full of win, you are.
Yeah, I was at 197 when I posted it...
your points total shows +1000 "Poke Points" from an admin. well deserved. loved the animation.
but if pts can be added a thousand at a time, the value of point could diminish rapdily. Is the Federal reserve aware of this practice?
Michigan 5 -- Purdue 0
I still hold to the point that scoring 4 TDs on offense and winning will go hand-in-hand for the rest of this season. I won't predict any scores because it depends if UM vs. ND shows up or UM vs. Illinois.
The UM that beat ND had Molk and Odoms and a non-shoulder injured Forcier. Also Purdue isn't coached by Weiss.
Same as ND game, baby. Just gotta be the last man standing once the shootout is over.
21-14 Purdue. God I hope not... if we lose I will most likely finish the job of breaking my phone that I started around 6PM last Saturday.
Guitars, table lamps, beer bottles, ...
Since the likelihood of beating Wiscy or OSU is slim to none, I'm calling for:
UM 38, Purdue 33.
God help us all.
I've already tried reverse psychology, as well as not posting a result; now I've moved on to nihilism.
Game postponed due to lightning. To be replayed as a double header next time teams are scheduled to meet in Ann Arbor, after 2012.
our bowl bid will be postponed to 2012, too?
meet hard place.
I wonder if Purdue wins, and I hope they do not, they have ever beaten OSU and UM in the same year before?
was the last time.
Luckily for us Drew Brees ain't walking through that door.
Purdue 32 M 31
Purdue 31 OSU 27
both games in W. Lafayette. Some guy named Drew Brees at QB for the boilerz.
I think the game could go either way, but it will be a blow out game. Either we blow them, or they blow us.
I would predict wildly
UM - 45
Prudue - 17
Given that we can't score a point in the 2nd half in the previous two games. I would like to have our offense to score 45 pts in the 1st half. :D
"Either we blow them, or they blow us."
Is your whole post just a setup for this one line?
[Insert Mike Cox joke here.]
Will tell the tale. If we have a 3rd Qtr even remotely as pitiful as last week, stick a fork in us ... We're done.
UM 38 Purdue 31
Michigan wins! Haaaagharahhhaaya (like the yankees guy) Michigan wins! And does so with an overall stellar (gasp) defensive performance. No big plays allowed (over say 25 yards), offense plays a little ball control to give the D a break. A late turnover gives M a late scare, but a key stop seals the deal. (see my Illinois 34- Michigan 17 prediction last week as a frame of reference for my genious) We got this one folks.
What's the over/under for volcanic, red-faced eruptions by RR at players and/or assistants? I say 3.
Michigan 31 Purdue 30
35-26 UM wins
34-30 Michigan with both a blocked punt and a muff by UM
At least Drew Brees is a Saint still. Head held high the future is bright in wolverine land.
Im going to this game, and i am very confident that we will win. In my entire life, i have been to 9 football games, 3 basketball games, an 2 baseball games (i hate baseball!!!!!!). Everytime, the team that i was rooting for won the game. thats 14-0 folks!!!! Heres to going 15-0. CHEERS!!!!
someone's got some stones. Blowout. I co-sign.
Michigan blitzes from all over tomorrow, and shocks us all.
By 4. UM-35, PUR-31
Here's to bowl eligibility!
above 50 degrees, no precipitation, at home = UM Win
