Yeah, but he is dumb. He rambles on about Denard being under center a bunch and switching over to a pro-style offense. Ugh, please watch some of the games before you try and give analysis.

Denard 2010 through 6 games-119 carries - 19.3 carries/game

Denard 2011 through 6 games-102 carries - 17 carries/game

It may not seem like much because it is only a difference of 2.3 carries/game, but at his current rate he basically has one less game worth of rushes. That's a lot of punishment that has been removed.

He's scrambling more often this year, too.  The total number of designed running plays is lower, though I don't know by how much.  Presumably, Denard is less likely to get injured on a scramble than a designed run, since he won't scramble unless it's open.

Hoke really has successfully re-shaped the public opinion of the program.

What Hoke has said to the public: "We're going to play a smashmouth style of football. You'll be able to feel us playing. We run power between the tackles and we play physical. Why? Because this is Michigan!"

What Hoke has (ahem, presumably) said to his coordinators: "What's that you say, Al? Denard does better out of the shotgun? Then why in the world would we run plays from under center? We do what we need to do to win!"

And since the team is 6-0 and the defense has improved, the general public listens to what he says, looks at our record and stats, and whaddaya know? He's successfully made Denard a pro-style QB. We're returning to our roots! He's a genius!

Hoke being the coach of the year so far (I think Dabo at Clemson is a close second), but has he even watched any game film of Michigan? Talking about Denard being under center frequently, when in fact it is a minimal amount and the Shotgun is still the primary set used.
