sbnation longform on Trey and co
Zach Travis over at MnB penned a lovely narrative surrounding Trey and friends. Also, another well-formatted story that I'm getting so used to seeing with all of the Vox sites.
Go Blue
I have shed more tears these last couple days....
Great article, Burke will be missed.
Hell of a kid, Blessing from above for Michigan.
Loved this team.
"Defined by the perfect moment, when the best player I’ve ever watched in maize and blue pulled The Dagger out of Michigan’s still-beating heart, wiped off the blood, and used it to carve his name into history."
I have to say, here the author sort of captures how I felt at that moment too - we were down but not out and Trey Burke managed to do something so memorable that it will be discussed and relived for a long time. "The Dagger" is a great name for it too, for it didn't seem like any other shot that would be called that.
I seem to remember this interview quote too from Trey, soon after he committed to Michigan: "They have a young team, and I can tell that when I get there, we’re going to do some special things.”
They are things we won't forget for a long time indeed.
Very interesting, well-written piece, I thought. Thanks for sharing it.

To never hire you as my financial advisor. Okay?
It was a lot of work, and the second longest thing I've ever written (the longest was an undergrad research paper for Phil 402) but I had a blast writing it and just hope I did Trey's career justice.
But yeah, tl;dr and all that.
Pretty pictures. Seriously.
It was really, really well done.
I didn't just get to celebrate Trey Burke, I also got to relive the lat two years of Michigan BB and this year's magic Tournament run.
Thanks for posting. Long, but excellent piece about a Michigan sports icon that none of us shall soon forget.
