SB Open Thread vs Cal on ESPN2

Submitted by MGoSoftball on

The SB team is playing Cal in the Regionals on ESPN2.  Cal defeated Pitt yesterday to advance.

ESPN has the game scheduled and announced at 4pm.  the MgoBlue website that is linked to the NCAA Regional Brackets has the game starting at 6:30pm.  Usually TV is more acurate, so I am opening this thread assuming the game is at 4pm.

not much.  some decent restaurants but most of the places to go and things to see are over by the water.  there are some nice hiking and biking trails in berkeley - has some nice hills all around it.

otherwise go to the beach over by santa cruz/capitola for a day.  whales might still be heading north.   surf.   see SF, the bridge, marin, napa.  you could have a very nice stroll and meal in los gatos and again, some fun biking and hiking trails there too.

they were pretty playful earlier today - fun to watch a 700-800lb animal 'frolic'.  the kids were out there giving them names.   they were also reminiscing about prior cattle, 'daddy, remember when bull-dozer got so big that we had to...' and 'aw, rocky was the best.  he'd come up to you and start rubbing his head on you..'

This WKU - Georgia game is insane. I've heard about WKU's pitcher but this is my first time seeing her. She can shut it down.

Not to get ahead of ourselves, but I think I'd rather Michigan play Georgia.

Falk still in the lineup today. Swearingen pinch hit for Falk yesterday and drove in the walk-off run, so I wasn't sure which way Hutch would go. I think this is the right move though -- Falk has been very good since becoming the go to DP.

Its one thing to have to look at highlighter yellow masquerading as Maize.

Its entirely another thing to watch another team do Maize better than we do.....

There was a thread the other night that sung the praises of the mgoblogosphere in contrast to the real world, where the real world was  (not in my words) 65% idiots....

4 people upclicked "Maize/Highlighter observation - 1 downclicked.  Yes we are still a respite from the real world, but Im worried about the trend....
