Saturday UM vs Ferris State Hockey Thread

Submitted by redwhiteandMGOBLUE on

Open thread for tonight's hockey game.

I understand the game is on Comcast local.

Has any one been able to find a free stream?

I found a pay stream from the Ferris State website -

I've checked atdhe.net, and justintv and haven't found anything as of yet.

Audio is at -  http://www.mgoblue.com/allaccess/?media=196979

Stats - http://www.collegehockeystats.net/1011/livebox/mmicfsua.j15

Any help with a free feed would be much appreciated.

Go Blue!

I have comcast, what channel # is the game on? Sounds like we are doing the usual routine... Sluggish on Friday, awesome on Saturday. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for asking about a different topic, but any hockey fans know who would be backing up Joey MacDonald for the Wings tonight? Maybe the Griffins backup?

Yeah, he's the Griffins backup. Backup is a relative term here considering he gets about equal minutes with MacDonald. MacDonald has been the superior goalie this year (hence why he was called up first).

Rick Nash tied up the game at 5. Less than a minute to go now.

UPDATE: Game going to OT pending review of a potential Columbus goal. Replay looks to show that the puck never crossed, which was the call on the ice.

UPDATE II: No Goal. Definitely going to OT.

UPDATE III: FRANZEN GOAL IN OT FTW!!!

With ND going down tonight, tomorrow's CCHA standings will look like this:

ND 18GP 38pts

Mich 17GP 37pts

Miami 18GP 33pts

Michigan sitting pretty with a home set against Alaska followed by a one game weekend against MSU at the Joe before the Miami series.

I like their chances for the regular season crown, and a top 3 spot is all but assured.

Not that anything really matters until the tournament anyway, other than making it of course.

... This can be one of the top teams in the nation, but they have two problems. One is penalties, the other is to much finesse. Tonight we came out and just did it, they played tough and got it done. Penalty issues are still there, but this is a group of guys that I think can make a deep run in the NCAA tournament.
