scores for IU. he's a scrapper.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:09 PM ^
Wow, that seemed incredibly easy for the Hoosiers.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:11 PM ^
Yeah, that looked almost as good as Michigan's first drive last week :-\
October 31st, 2009 at 12:11 PM ^
Ha I was just going to start one of these after Indiana took the opening possesion for a TD against Iowa, this should be a much better game than OSU. Gotta get my favorites button organized for these early games
October 31st, 2009 at 12:11 PM ^
Wisconsin drove 80 yds for a TD without a single pass. That's good news for next week.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:11 PM ^
Pryor just threw a ball to someone not named Posey or Sanzenbacher. And throws what should have been a pick-6 or TAINT if you will, trying to force it to Posey.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:13 PM ^
against Akron. Yay getting the MAC game of the week on MyTV20.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:18 PM ^
Pryor has no pocket presence what so ever
October 31st, 2009 at 12:19 PM ^
new mexico state's got him all confused
October 31st, 2009 at 12:19 PM ^
And the boo birds come out in columbus.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:27 PM ^
Pryor just can't make the reads. Every time he looks to throw, he looks the receiver straight in the eye the entire play. Ohio State will be New Mexico St., but its gonna be closer than they like.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:20 PM ^
Is anyone watching Wisconsin vs. Purdue? Isn't the rule that the player has to have possession all the way to the ground? I thought it was a good call by the officials.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:26 PM ^
It seems as though every time that play happens there is a differnet interpretation of the rule.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:27 PM ^
ESPN classic has the Horror on. Is that because it's
Haloween? What a terrible thing to do.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:31 PM ^
OSU looks incredibly beatable as long as our defense is as good as NM St.
Also, Pryor runs scared. Every play.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:36 PM ^
He's terrified because he knows everybody on the field could be a murderer.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:37 PM ^
Not just could be, everyone IS a murderer.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:44 PM ^
And they are ALL looking to steal his passes and fumbles
October 31st, 2009 at 12:33 PM ^
not looking particularly sharp today
October 31st, 2009 at 12:33 PM ^
Pass interference call in Iowa game was brutal, damn let defenders defend please, something needs to be done.
Iowa looking really bad, hope MSU looks similar this evening against gophers
October 31st, 2009 at 12:37 PM ^
Stanzi with another interception. He looks terrible.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:38 PM ^
On one hand, I'm not concerned about them yet.
They do not care if they play behind all day.
But, man I'm down 24 points already in this one. Brutal.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:40 PM ^
is on ESPNU. Tied up 7 - 7 at the moment.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:41 PM ^
This FSU-NCSU game is a snoozer. FSU finally scored a TD, but everything about this game is boring. Doak Campbell looks about 2/3 full, it's gray and raining, and the announcers sound bored.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:46 PM ^
My open thread ironic curse lives on!
Russell Wilson just nailed an 80 yard touchdown strike immediately after the FSU score.
Hoo boy.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:42 PM ^
Does anyone think Iowa deserves a top 10 ranking much less #4. Based on what I saw last night, USF would blow away Iowa. Giving up the TE TDs and the TOs hurt us so much. In 1-2 years we'll be head and shoulders above evryone in the perennially weak Big 10
October 31st, 2009 at 12:48 PM ^
Iowa played a rather respectable non-conference schedule, beating Iowa State and Arizona, and also has a big win over Penn State in Happy Valley, a game that Iowa dominated after the first quarter. Iowa's problem is that their running backs keep getting injured and their QB sucks. But in terms of resume (which is what should be used at this point in the season), Iowa clearly outclasses most of the nation. The only thing they lack are blowout wins over the cupcakes they've played.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:52 PM ^
right? Iowa is a good team. Sound. Few mistakes. Remind me a little of our 97 team in that respect. If they can make it through the big 10 schedule, which they may not, I give them a good shot. Ferentz is a good coach, and they'll prepare well for whatever bowl game they're in.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:42 PM ^
Pryor ran it in from eight yards out. On the bright side, they're looking very mediocre against New Mexico State. Their rush offense has been terrible (outside of Pryor scrambling).
October 31st, 2009 at 12:45 PM ^
with an onside kick which the kicker recovered. tressel pulling out all the stops. he is, after all, laying 44 1/2 points...
October 31st, 2009 at 12:51 PM ^
They only ran the ball once that drive. I'm not sure if Tressel just wants to have Pryor throw the ball more or if he's losing confidence in his backs, who have been atrocious thus far.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:42 PM ^
7-3 on Auburn. I didn't realize Ole Miss was in the top 25. The more you know...
October 31st, 2009 at 12:45 PM ^
They absolutely do not deserve to be.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:44 PM ^
Holy sweater vest batman, an onside kick?
October 31st, 2009 at 12:45 PM ^
OSU pulling out the big guns with an onside kick against NM State.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:47 PM ^
I wonder if he realizes how sad that onside kick is. I'm guessing, deep down, he knows.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:48 PM ^
Mhmm. There's no pride in that touchdown. Especially after the worst PI call of the year.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:57 PM ^
I didn't see it but I really doubt that it was worse than the one in the EMU game.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:59 PM ^
Maybe not, but it's the most recent. You know how that goes. The OSU receiver grabbed the defender by the jersey and dragged him down on top of him.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:47 PM ^
Iowa remains in funk, I'm in one too, better get these damn leaves raked before 3:30
October 31st, 2009 at 12:51 PM ^
If anyone is watching Ole Miss-Auburn...
So Auburn gets a terrible stop after a 3rd down run that should have been a 1st down, and then proceeds to get stuffed on 4th down. The refs down there really have been working on being awful.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:52 PM ^
I am hoping for this IU lead to hold up into half.....maybe a sweet set up for a second half bet on Iowa. You have to think they'll wake up offensively, right?
October 31st, 2009 at 1:45 PM ^
Yeah, I am expecting Iowa to put up 28 unanswered and for IU to choke this up.
But maybe not...
October 31st, 2009 at 12:52 PM ^
Does anybody know why they do a version a the Florida Chomp on 4 th down
October 31st, 2009 at 12:56 PM ^
It's the idea of a Hawk beak chomping down.
Yes, I'm serious.
October 31st, 2009 at 12:52 PM ^
Awesome fake field goal by Cincinnati.
October 31st, 2009 at 1:35 PM ^
That wasn't a fake. He botched the snap.
October 31st, 2009 at 1:46 PM ^
Yeah you're right. I just saw it on a gamebreak.
October 31st, 2009 at 1:00 PM ^
why don't college teams run the onsides kick like tOSU almost every play? i'm being serious though it would be annoying to watch. then once a team thinks you'll be doing it (b/c you did it the previous 3 times) you just go with the conventional kick off. IMO it seems like a pretty cheap play, only to kick it 10 yards (too easy).
ALSO, i hate how the offense always get the benefit of the doubt. i've seen this so much this season for some reason. in the tOSU-NMSU game it was clearly offensive pass interference. i've seen that blown call so many damn times this year in particular going the wrong way. frustrating..
