Crack-back blocks are now illegal, something I learned yesterday.  The NFL is adding new "player safety" rules more quickly than I can comprehend. Goodell is a damn fool.

and my Packers but even the alcohol I drank last night was not enough to overcome that embarassment in the Beau. That was horrific and Graham Harrell is HORRIBLE. I'm very scared about our DL and our running game cause it looks like once again the Pack does not have a reliable running back. Detroit fans this could be the year you get your big win against us. I can't stomach any loss to Chicago, Detroit or Minnesota....

The Dream Cruise starts around Ferndale and goes up to Pontiac.  Certainly not "the birmingham dream cruise".  If you think it's going to end in a mile or two, you will be there until midnight.

The Dream Cruise is one of the best, most authentic summer events of any city in the country.  If you love cars (read: if you're a dude) it's a fantastic time.  If you don't want to be in the middle of the country's best car show, do yourself and everyone on Woodward a favor and make a right or left hand turn.  Go down to the next road and drive a mile around.  No more traffic.

There's a show called NFL AM? Who the hell watches it? I thought BTN had some seriously shady programming.

Edit: Who's even supposed to watch it? Marketing types create a fictional character to represent the target demographic. For example,

"Jason is a 30-something, divorced Cleveland Browns fan. His living room has a 64" television sitting on the floor, a couch with no legs, wires running from the DirecTv dish sitting on the apartment balcony, and several weeks-old pizza boxes stacked in a corner that likely have ants feeding on the leftover cheese. He hasn't attempted to find work in over a year, watches five hours of Sports Center each day, and wears his Bernie Kosar jersey on first dates. In his (significant) free time, he contributes heavily to Bucknuts.com and photobombs family pictures with his trademark tilted head."

Who's less interested in winning their game on TV now(!), the Jets, the Giants, or Illinois, winner of the 2011 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl on BTN's Classic College Football?

I read last night that Adrian Arrington had been tearing it up in camp and was going to win the 4th WR spot with NO...but he tore his knee!  :(  that sucks for him...he has had bad luck in the league.  Really he should have stayed in school that last year, it would have developed him more and get him ready.  Now, he may never make it back.

Im excited to see how Dave Molk and Junior do tonight.

Mike Martin had 1 tackle last night and RVB had a pass deflection.

Listened to the Titans game on NFL.com radio with the Titans homie station.  The commentators were absolutely giddy about Martin.  Besides his recorded tackle, the radio guys attributed someone else's sack to the QB seeing Martin coming at him and being distracted from the sack-man coming from the other side.

And Tim Jamison, who'd been on and off the Texans' practice squad for 2-3 years, was listed yesterday as starter at DE and was credited with a tackle, 3 assists, a sack, a tackle-for-loss and 2 QB hurries.

Junior didn't play again-- last week read that he had a groin strain.  Braylon was targeted for one pass, didn't catch.  But this was from the gamebook, so who knows how much he played or how well.

Stevie Brown is now playing for the Giants.  Heard his name mentioned when a penalty was called, but the penalty went on the "other" guy.  Former Giant Manningham was listed as starter for the 49ers but no catch (targeted once).

when NYG and NYJ battle each other? You have to imagine since it's two of the biggest teams in NYC with the biggest fanbases it's intense and probably phsychical between the fans. I know a few Jets fans who I can't stand and seeing their fans in person I can honestly tell you I do not care for them at all.
