You're 4 and fucking 10...GO FOR IT YOU MORONS
You're 4 and fucking 10...GO FOR IT YOU MORONS
And try to win? That would totally blow their chances of a higher draft spot. See, Schwartz knows what he's doing.
Unbelievable Schwartz...what do you have to play for? GO FOR IT.
Just dreadful from inside the 10. The QB draw in particular had no possible chance of success.
I actually didn't mind that play, if Peterman holds his block it seems like Stafford could have waltzed in.
I agree with this. It would also help if their second option wasn't Tony Scheffler and their third option a guy they picked up a few games ago (Mike Thomas).
Edit: No intended disrespect to your Bronco brethren.
This wasn't meant to go here.
That's the problem right there. You're relying on Steven Peterman.
I'm really looking forward to watching another once in a generation talent waste away with the Lions. Five bucks says he retires after 9 seasons because the Lions have robbed him of his competitive drive.
Wow, that was emo.
Stafford's first mistake of the game and its over.
Margin's always pretty thin when you have no defense
There it is.
Megatron! I think he also broke the Madden Curse.
Please sell the team to competent ownership WC Ford Jr.
Lolgan, I don't even know what to say.
ROFL...that free kick return was the icing on the cake.
That has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever seen
How about wins? Or touchdowns?
thats all I can really say. what a joke. Preseason champs!
Is logan cut yet?
Takes the knee at the 4 yard line--not a defender in sight.
did he think he was in the endzone? wtf
Well... At least Calvin got me 47 pts in my PPR league championship game. Sadly, I'm playing against Ryan, who scored 56. -sigh
And now 51.
It has been said already, but I would fire Schwartz after kicking two FGs on 4th-and-short deep in Falcon territory. You are 4-10; grow some balls and try to win the game.
I support your message
Lol. It took those two calls for you to realize we should fire Schwartz? Apparently you don't watch very much Lions football.
I would have fired him after thanksgiving. To quote the RR years around here "UNACCEPTABLE". Except I'm serious in this case.
What seems to be left out of this calculation again and again is the positive value (for you) of the field position you've put the other team in even if you fail. That last offensive play from Atlanta highlights it.
......except you're still 4-10.....if the goal is to try and win games you go for broke no matter what
being 4-10 has no relevance (unless you are trying to lose for the draft choice).
You choose your plays to give yourself the maximum chance of winning. You play to win the game.
Have dodged that ball Logan threw him he wasn't down yet. Was in field of play and wasn't touched
If the ball carrier gives himself up the play is over. It was clear he was taking the knee intentionally.
Too bad you can't fire the owner
Oh shut up Gruden. One catch when the game is iced and it's tarnished? Johnson broke the record with in less receptions than Rice and Rice had a HOF QB throwing to him. And it's not meaningless; they can still possibly win this game.
ROFL...they can win this game....LOLLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL...breath...LOLOLOLOLOLOL...
Also, can Gruden stop it with the "meaingless yards" crap? I remember Rice setting that record with lots of receptions after the game was no longer in doubt. He played on some great 49er teams, and that '95 squad and won a couple of games by 20+ points. You don't break records without pouring it on at times, and that includes when you are winning or losing.
At this point? There's one more game left to get yards.
Since the lions can't run the ball like the niners did when rice was there. And since the lions never have a lead and are always going for big plays, even at the end of games, like last night. I like Calvin Johnson but comparing him to Jerry rice is like comparing Carmelo Anthony to Michael Jordan. Show me a playoff victory-rice can show you 4 rings.
So perhaps, just perhaps, Rice was helped out by a top rated QB and some other pieces... Like a running game and strong OL.
Just a thought.
He totally was. Calvin is a monster and the best receiver in the NFL. He earned the record so he deserves it but it doesn't matter as much until he wins.
That they've changed the rules o much to favor the passing game that you now have guys who throw or 5,000 yards so there's a lot more reception yardage to go around.
I'm sorry but Rice was twice the player Johnson is. Gruden is right. It's depressing that a record like that would belong to a lion. Anything to do with the lions is sad.
You can't be serious. Rice was twice the player that Calvin is? CJ is routinely double and triple teamed since the Lions #2 receiver was Staffords roommate at Georgia.
I have a ton of respect for Jerry Rice but he was nowhere near the athlete that CJ is. Oh, and CJ doesn't have Joe Montana, John Taylor, Roger Craig, TO or a solid OLine.
If you had the ability to build a WR, you would build Calvin Johnson.
Stafford went to Georgia, Megatron went to Georgia Tech.
