Saturday Night Drinking Thread
I started drinking, came to MGoBlog, and realized that this thread wasn't up yet. I had a Jack's Abbey Octoberfest to start, and I'm currently having a Sam Adams Summer Ale. I might switch to Gansett Summer after this, or I might shut it down. On TV is UFC 150 with NFL Network (Houston-Carolina) as back up. It's good to watch football, but:
So... three weeks from right now (like this very moment), we will be watching Alabama and Michigan. Hot damn.
You guys ready for it? I can't wait. Go Blue!

I really like these threads. I'm not much of a beer drinker(i perfer capt. morgan) so it's cool to learn about some of these other drinks. I need to expand my drinking choices.

settled into our rental at Burt Lake. Had some fantastic steaks on the grill, took the kids out trolling for walleye for a couple hours (got 4 nice ones), made a fire and enjoyed a Buffalo Trace bourbon while contemplating beingness and nothingness.
And just cracked a cold Molson for poring over detailed contour maps of the lake, planning on banging the walleyes hard tomorrow, along with some tubing and other water-related fun.
Vacation's hell.

I'd advise that Heidegger be your guide, not Sartre. I will admit, however, that Sartre is more accessible - yet still a sufficiently fancy name and thus impressive name-drop for purposes of cocktail parties, etc. So you can do less thinking/work for the same outcome.
Rousseau used to lay on his back in his rowboat at night, and from there developed his idea of sentiement de l'existence.
Okay, I think I've done enough to disingenuously obtain everyone's opinions that I'm smart, so my work here is done. Just remember that Plato advocated getting drunk so as to be open to new ideas. Banquet.
Ok, now I've done enough.

Lager of the lakes (Bell's) and a Founder's porter. I shall miss Michigan; fortunately I've been stockpiling its beer quite extensively. Always be prepared for a more turbulent future.

Just registered tonight and this is my first post! Coming at you tonight from the DFW, where our boys will face off against Bama in 3 weeks. Looking forward to hitting up some College Gameday and the game! Oh, and I've topped off the last 1/4 of the bottle of rum tonight with a few cokes.
HAIL

Lucky Thirteen and Hoopstoopid are two of my new favorite beers. I have been very impressed with Lagunitas.

They call him Geno so that's cool. Then there's that US women's hoops coach. Here's to the Genos.

From New Glarus. While sitting on my friend's dock on Lake Mendota, in view of UW's beautiful campus. A happy wolverine in badger country, or a badger with the heart of a wolverine!
