Saturday night drinking thread and general open thread
Side not if you are a Wings fan or just NHL fan and haven't heard there are reports out that Detroit and Columbus are both moving the the east but in two separate divisions. Detroit would be with TORONTO!, Montreal, Ottawa, Buffalo, Boston, Florida and Tampa. I love this idea. Thoughts?
and drinking some Magic Hat #9. First ever women's UFC fight. Overall some good fights tonight
nothing fancy and that was with dinner. more interested in the report of the wings going to the eastern conference which will be a big bonus to the wings who i believe travel more miles than any other team (or close to it) and b/c of the long-time rivalry with the habs and the leafs. very cool.

Watching Psych on Netflix and drank some shock top. Might make myself a brandy old-fashioned in a bit.
Happy to see Michigan pull out a win today against OSU. Hopefully we will be on tv much more often next year in the B1G conference.
It ain't easy being cheesy
Psych is awesome. New season starts Wednesday.
I have an odd love affair with the late night playoff starts on the West Coast for the Wings, so I like being in the Western Conference. But I know I am in the minority on that one.
That said, I support any realignment that puts us in the same division as Toronto and Montreal.
I know exactly what you mean. It's not playoff hockey until you're staying up till 2 in the morning to watch the wings lose in double ot to San Jose.
You know, Dude, I myself dabbled in pacifism once. Not in 'Nam of course.
Laphroaig Triple Wood. Boom. Scotch'd.
Fireball and pineapple smirnoff. Anyway wings and habs/leafs in the same conf/division would be amazing.

I saw Hall and Oates tonight. Played Sara smile and couldn't stop thinking about Brady Hoke and how that song brings a tear to his eye. Go Blue
I need to go home and put water in Buck Nasty's Mom's dish
I spent all day re-designing my basement/man cave. I installed a new overhead projector with the image thrown onto a newly painted wall (using dry erase paint). Now the wall (108" x 80") serves two purposes: a big screen for viewing and a dry erase board for my coaching/scouting notes. I picked up an L-shaped leather couch, stole my son's desk from his now-vacant room, re-routed the phone and cable lines, and ran new Romex for a dedicated electrical line from the box to a couple new outlets for the computer, modems, router, Wii, Xbox, and cable box. I also cleared out an area for the ping pong table so the kids can have their friends over to enjoy a full entertainment room.
Needless to say, I'm pretty fired up with my progress. To celebrate, I'm have a few Kesslers and Coke Zero while looking up plans and photos of a bar that I want to build.
My wife may never see me again.

At the risk of sounding boastful, I also just finished re-doing the master bathroom with new: counter tops, paint, and lights while removing an old ginormous mirror and replacing it with a couple beautes my wife picked out. For good measure, I took out a funky old medicine cabinet and patched the wall. Then afterwards, I got the itch to remove the wallpaper in the foyer and staircase.
HALOL. I'm on a big kick to improve my house in the event I ever want to sell it and retire to Seal Beach CA.

I surprised you haven't found time to record your debut album yet.

Drinking nothing because it's late and I'm old.
Coming from a UMgradUMdad, it's not too late and you're not too old. Get some.

House of Cards and Founders Centennial.
Such a good show, loved the first season!
After watching Ohio (Bobcats) almost shock the world last year in the tourney along with a solid Belmont team, I was really hoping this game would be at least a little closer... But I do overall like the Bracket Busters concept, and they should really consider bringing it back after this year.
2013 will be the year.
As of now, I am drinking sprite. I had surgery yesterday, so I probably should follow the warning labels on the pain med bottles. Also, I have only posted a few times here, so thanks for welcoming me to this site... Even though I am a Buckeye. Congrats on your hockey team's victories...

Thank you for the well wishes. I have stated before that I am not here to run my mouth, nor to disrespect. I like reading other perspectives, especially opposing viewpoints, as they often make me a more knowledgeable fan. I think this is a great time to be a fan of either school, as your basketball team seems to be establishing itself as a dominant force for the near future and Hoke and co are getting UM football back to where it belongs. As for conversion of my allegiance, my first Buckeye football memories come from the cooper era, so I have too much heartbreak and discontent for your respected wolverines. Thanks again for letting me contribute to this community.

Had some Bridgeport Kingpin (I'm catching up on Portlandia, what do you expect?) and some homebrew. Some IPA I made and a friend's engish bitter.
I've enjoyed Portlandia quite a bit, but also found it somewhat hit or miss with a few of its sketches. It's definitely a certain kind of humor. I haven't seen any of Season 3 yet unfortunately.

Captain Morgan is the cure as I prep for a member member golf tourney on Sunday. Hope it works.

Two foot powder day at Bridger Bowl Montana and I've been drinking Kettlehouse IPAs and Irish Coffees all night. What a country!
Uinta Hop Notch IPA, which I'll probably follow up with a Santa Fe Happy Camper IPA while watching something on Netflix. I just finished up Season 4 of Breaking Bad and need to find something else for a little while.

plus the UFC Fights.... not a bad way to spend a Saturday night

Can't complain though, as I'm at work making that double time. I did spend the evening getting my gf caught up on some S.O.A. She loves it. We are on season four.
Ik one thing. I'm drunk as fuck and just met a fellow Michigan fan that actually knew about the incoming freshmen class. Not often u run into someone in upstate my that is as big a fan as I am. Unreal
There is god, there is family, and then there is MICHIGAN FOOTBALL
Coors light call me a pussy all you want but I'm getting blasted

Not that I loved Rich Rod less, but that I loved Michigan more.
