Columbian for me, too, but mine brewed the old-fashioned way, on the stove in a percolator at the lowest heat possible.  Brings out the best of the flavor and aroma!

Heading up north later this morning for a weekend of ice fishing and beer drinking and card playing.  And likely some sippin's of something stronger while out on the ice.

from the 50's right next to me.  holding up a long neck with the caption 'if you think all beers are alike, you should try STROH'S.  flavorr brewing at 2000 makes the delicious difference'.

and cold-brewing is the way to make coffee taste as good as it smells in the can/bag.   you don't use a heat reaction but instead soak the beans in water.  it produces coffee escence with about 15% of the oil of hot-brewed coffee and without the brackish, alkaline taste that causes most folks to put cream, sugar, etc in their coffee.

I have been up all of 20 minutes, so the coffee just finished brewing, but the plan was deifnitely coffee. It might be just me, but I usually need a cup or two in me before I can even contemplate making / eating anything for breakfast, so eventually coffee will roll into actual nourishment of some kind. For now, it is Channel 7 News with my son's Spanish language immersion a la Kindle Fire in the background.

This is hilarious because I am literally sitting on the tarmac delayed because the hot water feed for the coffee maker was spewing all over the galley. I was wondering why they just don't turn off the pipe and go wheels up, fix it later. Now I know, ha.

I should warm up to 50 when the assessments start. The grass is green! Kaleb is looking good. Stong arm and a beast at catcher. Plus, he's and older 10 year old and a team leader. Can drink a juice box in 4.3 seconds! I'm buckled - he's my first pick!

Your Saturday morning is my Saturday night in China. Long day of kid gymnastics and a basketball tournament. Two bourbons on the rocks and then sleep. Looking for Hello posts from Ace when I wake up!

Just enjoy flying. I bought into a turbo Mooney so we can make it back to see the MGoFreshman in a little over 4 hours. It was 8 in the previous plane, a C-182. But it's not practical without an instrument rating--especially going back to the Midwest. I'm trying to finish up by the end of the month.
