Saturday CBB open thread

Games of note, with team we should root for in bold:

Wisconsin and Indiana are in a tight game midway through the second half.

MSU and OSU play at 4:00.  (Root for whichever you dislike less.)

Kansas State plays Kansas at 6:00.  After rooting for KSU all year, we now want them to lose to protect our seed.

UNLV vs. New Mexico at 6:00.  A UNLV upset would be great.

Syracuse vs. Louisville at 8:30.  Very important for Louisvile to win here.

OSU winning, and if Wisconsin takes the BIG tomorrow, I think those scenarios help helps a lot in bracketology. Losing to a top 20 team, top 5 BIG team an eventual either runner-up or champ of the BIG tourney all will be factored into seeding.

Midd Tenn St. is going to be a really interesting case tomorrow.  Great record, but not much in it.  On the other hand the other bubble teams don't have much in the way of quality wins.

I've got to say, Thad Matta is a better coach than I thought.  I used to think he was basically your standard "good recruiter, bad bench coach" type, but he's done a nice job this year.

I use to never understand how Michigan fans could hate Nix but after watching his dirty playing style,  seeing all the tweets by him posted on Mgoblog and comments I now understand your hate. I'm so glad to see that he is leaving MSU.

The way the buckeyes have responded after losing 3 of 4 including the blow out at Wisconsin to reel off 7 straight and the way Craft has picked up his game are incredibly impressive - I don't think many teams would like to have them on their side of the NCAA bracket.

Louisville's offense does not look good right now. Not sure if its because they can't set up the press/aren't very good in the half court, or whether Cuse's zone is to tough for them right now. Either way we need Louisville to get it together to hopefully ensure Michigan a spot in Auburn Hills.

So what is the real ACC Tourney Championship game? The Syracuse/Louisville game tonight or the Miami/UNC game tomorrow? Are the winners going to play each other Monday to decide the #1 seed? This realignment thing is really confusing.
