Satellite Camp GOOD News

Submitted by jonesie022 on
Not sure if already posted or a matter of common knowledge, but just contacted the AD at Bishop Chatard here in Indy and he confirmed that the satellite camp is FREE and OPEN to the public. Can't speak for the other locations but I am stoked. Anyone else here plan on visiting one in their area?

I guess what gets me about the "Stuntaz" part is that one of these cars is a reasonably priced, rather sensible Mitsubishi, so I suppose there is some leeway in what would constitute "stunting" sometimes. I need to get something like this taken with me standing next to my Cherokee and holding my laptop bag.

normally "stuntin'" is in reference to someone who is falsey showing off elaborate wealth or performing a wild act in order to gain attention whilst also pretending to be someone they are not (I believe the word is "poser"). It can also refer to the complete opposite, which is someone who is spending large amounts of money, saying and doing whatever that person pleases where they please whilst not giving a crap about what anyone thinks. The latter defintion applies to Harbaugh in this situation.  For further examples of Harbaugh like "stuntin" please see: Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Bill Gates, Stephen M. Ross

The fee you mention is for guys who want to participate.  My 11 year old goes to swim camps, it costs me money to send him, but nothing for me or any family or friends who had a burning desire to see him go over flip turns for 20 minutes and another 20 minutes making sure he is on his side, but not over on his breast when doing touch turns from Back to Breast in the IM.

But I could see the appeal to see Harbaugh coaching live if that sort of thing interests you.

I am going to the one in Dallas (Grand Prairie).  It took some digging but I did eventually get an answer on twitter from the people running it that it is also free for spectators.

If you go to one of these satellite camps but you DON'T have a son participating, that's just plain weird. That makes you a Harbaugh fanboy. Don't be that guy.
