(as in the last Furman thread); he was the best player on our punt-coverage, and possibly the best player on our kickoff team.

I was actually happy to hear that he was suspended, if it meant that he is not leaving Michigan...

For Josh's sake, and for the team, I hope he gets himself straightened out and is back soon.

It's STUNNING to me to see "I hope he gets himself straightened out and is back soon" versus Derrick NIx and the "lol MSU never disciplines this pothead needs to be kicked off the team" crowd.

It's actually stunning to read.

Angry Michigan Safety Hating God strikes again...

I really hope he can pull through this as he was a kid whos future I was highly excited about w/ coaching from a competent secondary coaching staff.

Will be interesting to find out why he was suspended.  Probably wasn't going to see the field anyway, but I always wonder how kids get suspended.

I hate these situations.  I wish the best for the kid whatever the problem and hopefully he can get back on the field.  On a positive (recruiting) note, will this create a need for 2 safeties in the class if the suspension becomes permanent?  Calling Mr. Cravens.

I think he would have made a contribution in some sort for the upcoming football season.  I hope he makes he way back.  Better to have too many capable players, than to have not enough.

I remember a tweet by a current player about a month ago.."S/O (Shout out for you geezers) to Josh Furman for doing the right thing" ...I have faith in Josh to get things back on the right track..just hit a bump in the road. Go Josh Go Blue

In danger. Josh Furman's absence from practice has been attributed to "administrative" issues that aren't academic, and this gives off a whiff of doghouse:

When asked how safety Josh Furman has been doing during camp, Mattison reversed course and said Michigan head coach Brady Hoke would have to answer that.

Dollars to donuts Furman's got a strike or two to his name. Being held out of spring practice is not a good sign. Meanwhile, Marvin Robinson will plead to a lesser charge in his having-a-"concussion"-that-held-him-out-of-eight-games case. He's practicing, so extrapolate Furman's situation from that.

Take from it what you will.

As read on Sam's board, there was a Joshua R. Furman arrested in Feb. for some rather unsavory things. If it is true, I hope it is only a suspension as they go through the legal process.
