But you may be mixing the Sgt Peppers crew with the Campus Corner crew.  I do know that I helped fill their 401k's back in the 2003-2007 era of my schooling from all the kegs and 40's bought there.  Great memories.

Speaking of Campus Corner, stopped there last year during a football game.  Not nearly the place it used to be.  Too nice/classy IMO

Was it worth calling a guy an "idiot" b/c he had a typo?  Hypercritical posts criticizing spelling and grammer just make us look way too uptight.  I get that we don't want posts with such bad English or godawful spelling that it makes us look like some hillbillie school (uh, no offense to hillbillies) (and I'm implying no references whatsoever to Duck Dynasty etc), but, guy leaves off one "e" and now he's an idiot?

"What I see is a guy that could play four to five different positions and excel at them,” Kennedy said. “He is a strong running back. He is as fluid as a good corner, he hits like a linebacker, he could play safety -- you could honestly take him and put him in an outside linebacker position and he would flourish."

We need more help at safety and he can blitz more from that position.

I think we are in pretty good shape at safety for the future with Wilson and Thomas, both of whom I think will be difference makers.  I feel we need more immediate help at corner.  I still believe Countess can be a very good #2 corner but I think he is too small to ever be a lock down #1 guy.  I am not very high on Taylor but I do think Stribling can be an elite level corner with his combination of size and speed.  With the amount of nickel Mattison likes to play, we really need 3 full time starters at corner and Peppers, Countess and Stribling could be a damn good trio.

comments at the end is worrisome.

“The SEC is pretty much the best conference in college sports, so that right there helped me when thinking about out-of-state schools,” McDowell told Scout.com. “Florida State is in the ACC and they are still a good school. They put a lot of defensive linemen in the league. Ohio State, I am saying them because I have only been there once.”

One of the things that I love about CFB is how one uber-talented guy can elevate an entire program -- especially a guy that can play all over the field.  I think that Peppers could very well be that next guy to help push Michigan back to its rightful place among the elite of CFB.

WTKA had Kyle Bogenshutz on this morning for the recruiting round up.  Google this and listen to their webcast which gets posted daily, or better yet download IHeartRadio and listen to their show every morning.

He had some fairly glowing comments on Speight.  He previously believed he wasn't that much of a prospect, thought M should offer others.  But said he was dead wrong.  He's improved mechanics and footwork over the last year, and UA coaches have talked about his football intelligence and leadership.  Other analysts were similarly talking him up.

Said Mone was a rock, I believe his tweets have been posted in other threads.  First day slow, then came on the second.  JBB is every bit of 6'6" or 6'7", had some tough reps but has a ton of potential.

At the Offense-Defense bowl, Marshall had to play inside because he was one of the largest kids there (?), but handled doubles well.  When he had opportunities to play outside or penetrate into the backfield he did very well.  Winnovich is down to 208 due to basketball season, is tall, rangy, and athletic.  Was a very positive report overall.

Yes, the general praise for Wilt is what I'm digging on.  Even dummies like me knew Peppers was "holy crap!" level all along.  Seeing Speight recognized as elite as well is HUGE.  Goes against the grain in these parts, but 2015 will be a very interesting year with upperclassmen finally across the board, elite talent like Peppers/Harris representing the younger players, and depth everywhere.

I hope this kid is as good as advertised.  McDowell is gone but with Lawrence Marshall and Mone we should be ok.  That being said it is not enough to just win on signing day anymore.

"He has a chance to be as good as he wants to be. He has a good work ethic. He enjoys football. He just needs to stay healthy. If he can do that he is going to have a great career."

I like what Edwards said here because it seems like everything we've seen and heard is summed up in that statement - Peppers may very well be one of the rare few whose ceiling is self-imposed, if there even were to be one at all. I might actually have to try and get home early to watch this game this afternoon, which means leaving soon to get home at 4 PM, the way the roads are.

yep agreed it was pretty evident to most informed football fans after watching his highlight tape that peppers is one of those rarest of blessed athletes.  truly a genetic mistake.  the explosion and sudden quickness combined with his size and strength at 6'1" 205lbs are rare enough - by all accounts hes also an intelligent player, a great standup kid, hard worker, a leader and a winner...not very often all comes together especially as 16-17 yr old.  remaining healthy really is only question mark in way of pro career (even if he were to somehow regress, hed still get drafted, just not top 10 as likely will).....only other question remaining is does hoke allow his bleeding heart style to give away snaps to others less talented than peppers??  dont care if its CB, S or NB or returner, hoke and mattison need to allow peppers opportunities to earn snaps with the 1s from the jump....wont take too long for him to establish hes best athlete on D and the 2013 type rotation / revolving door should not logically apply to peppers and ryan and UMs legit difference makers in 2014....but hey thats logic

seen over the years that never amounted to much?  I love reading about Peppers' work ethic and contant striving to get better.  It's so easy for kids at that age who are gifted athletically to just coast on their talent.  Not Jabrill it appears.  He may in fact have more ability overall than Charles Woodson at this point.  Obviously, it remains to be seen how he pans out when he arrives on campus.  Woodson had an uncanny knack for making the big play at the right time, something that can't be taught.  Still, I think Peppers is very capable of reaching that level.  Can't wait to see him in action at 4:00.
