Sam Webb mentions possible surprise recruit

As we were all going back to our normal lives, Sam Webb hints at a possibile surprise recruit. No mention of gastrointestinal functions.

Sorry, it's 100% NOT Diggs either. I will say some people have asked about Croom and Allen didn't really have a response to it. He said that he might be able to say something tonight, but he can't right now. Now, I'm not saying it's Croom! I'm just relaying info, but I wouldn't mind it being Croom.

Jason Croom is my guess. WR with good size, currently committed to Tennessee. Trieu mentioned him the other day kind of casually out of the blue.

Going off the different things I have read, and I am not using any paywalled info, this is a list of who I think it could be:

Latroy Pittman (Fla)

Avery Johnson (LSU)

Jody Fuller (SC)

Drae Bowles (Tenn)

 

I have no idea if this is who it is but this is the best list i could come up with. 

Also, I would like to add that I have heard multiple times that this recruit doesn't want this getting out before he chooses between his current commitment and Michigan so if you do know (or find out) leave him alone. I think we owe any recruit that!

I'd bet a good amount of money on it. It's nobody local, Allen Trieu said on Facebook that it wasn't a name that people had alreayd mentioned, and that we'd go blue in the face trying to figure it out. And the latest rumor, is that it's a 4 star WR from an SEC school. Croom fits the bill of the type of WR this staff has been recruiting thus far.

Aren't you the same guy that thinks we should stop prognosticating about what 17 year olds will do because none of them know until just before they do it? Now all of a sudden you know what a mystery recruit is going to do. How convenient, and if we do pull in a 4* WR from an SEC school you will just say it was different one...right?

Looking at his profile on Scout, there are recent paywalled articles about the strength of his commitment to UT, and going all the way back to his pre-commitment days, there is literally nothing in there about UM, or any other northern school for that matter. There's no indication he's ever visited, so I'm skeptical, but as they say, you never know about recruiting...

I'd rather have Darby or another OL anyhow.
