Some good Wednesday morning reading.

"Talking to Coach Beilein, he's like an offensive genius," Brown told Scout. "The way he gets these guys that aren't really ranked high to be lottery picks in the draft is amazing. It's definitely something that drew my attention."

How Ironic is it that much has been made of the lack of a recruiting bounce that has been gained by us making the final 4, that low and behold we not only get arguably the best player in this class but do it just a few miles from where we played in the final 4.

Is there a correlation between the word count in Sam Webb's articles and likelihood for player X signing with Michigan?   That was a thorough article.   But I guess it deserves the word count since we're talking about a top-5 hoops recruit seriously considering Michigan.   I'll refrain from getting excited since premature recruiting optimism seems to perpetually soil my soul in the end.

Sorry for being late to the party but does the board think this kid is trending to Michigan?

This one seems to me like it will end up being a heart breaker on a one and done type.

I think the board is hopeful (It's Happening! gifs have been designed), but still hesitant to get overexcited given that Kentucky and Kansas are still in the running (mostly Kentucky). Could be a heartbreaker. I wouldn't worry too much about the one and done--add his talent to the current team and we're most certainly a Final Four contender.

With Adidas being a "major player" with Jaylen, the fact that Michigan will most likely leave Adidas after his freshman year will be interesting.  If he wants to go into the NBA fully ready, there isn't a better coach remaining on his list to get him there.  I feel better and better about this everyday.

streak has been broken as a kansas insider picked kansas this morning.  worry that many of the crystal ball picks piggy backed on a couple of others basically picking on limited information (with recruitment being played close to vest). obviously want jaylen, but hopefully the backlash of a no brown/kenny williams commit and/or no commit at all doesn't bring out too many boo birds.

Evan Daniels said on Kentucky Sports Radio that Michigan had an in-home last Sunday. Also said UK had a recent in-home. Says Jaylen isn't talking to anyone (which we've gathered) so that he doesn't buy all of the Crystal Ball stuff.

LOLWUT

You can't seriously believe that John Beilein would think for one second of redshirting one of the most highly sought-after players in the entire country. I beg you to reconsider that thought.

>Scouts learned how serious Brown is about continuing to improve his game when last summer he put competing on the AAU circuit on the backburner so he could focus more on his development.. I'd like more of these handlers/advisors/agents would pay equal attention to developing talent as they do with business.
