TBH I fully expect Diamond to go to Arkansas.

It seems like we've been the "favorite" for him since RR was first recruiting him.  If he loves us that much, why hasn't he committed already?  He has a buddy here, has visited 100 times.  If all that hasn't convinced him to commit already, I don't see what's going to change that at this point and get him to commit to us.

If we had a weak class of 10 commits and freaked out for the last 10 months and whined and moaned about how Hoke cannot recruit then picked up the other 13 commits that we have in the last 2 weeks? At the end of the day it's the same class whether they commit early or late.

People that are saying "This is the worst close to a class ever! I'm going to cry and watch 'shes all that' all night", don't seem to realize that the class is the class regardless of when kids sign on.  If we had 28 commits 5 months ago it would be a shitty close to the class, but we'd still have a full class and a great one.  Who cares about "closing the class"?

I could not agree more. Our fanbase are coming off as whiners. If we got Pipkins and Kalis this weekend instead of months ago these same fans would be cheering Hoke and co. I know this is a what have you done for me lately society but wow the lack of faith is astonishing. We are Michigan! We still have a top ten class! Go Blue!

This is pretty bad, but honestly how many garnett/reeves/grant/diamond predictions did we see on this board a week or so ago? If you're apoplectic, you probably had unrealistic expectations in the first place.

What's sad is that there hasn't been a single person in this thread to wish Grant well. So many of you are so upset about this "terrible" stretch that you've devolved into self-centered pricks. Wish the guy well and move on. We still have a top 10 class and the chance to add a couple more recruits.

I don't wish any harm on him or anything, but I don't really care about his career at Oklahoma.  He can do well, he can do poorly, but committing to a school that already has 3 TEs committed isn't something where I say, hey, totally understandable.  I understand Garnett, Reeves, and Kozan.  Grant is just a poor decision.

And wish him well.  I just did not think he was that great or that big of a deal to this class with Funchess and Williams.

I am way more concerned about depth at center and depth at QB.  I know we have a commit for next year.  This year though we only have 3 scholarship QB's with one who has a long history of getting banged up.

Sparty troll may be obvious but unfortunately i agree with him. He has only one visit left and to take and He's not committing somewhere he hasn't taken a visit to.

Also, I hope the rumors that Hoke is recruiting him again are false. If he is, that marks a huge mistake to stop recruiting him a couple months ago. We had a lot of momentum with Diggs, especially those tweets about him and Countess in the number 1 and 2 jerseys, but that all but died due to the in-home i guess not debacle and our decision to stop recruiting after that. Re-opening his recruitment just seems like Hoke admitting he made a huge mistake.

even more "the opposite of good" is if Diamond becomes a Razorback. That would be, like, 0/5 ....'n' stuff. Now, if we can get Muller, Diamond, and maybe a nice surprise i.e. Diggs..then almost all will be good with the world again. Don't get me wrong, we have an awesome class already, and none of the guys were shoe-ins, but the 0/4 thus far certainly is a dose of

One guy I am a little bit confused about is Grant. I mean, Oklahoma is a great football program, but don't they have enough TEs? Whereas, at Michigan he would have the opportunity to see the field almost immediately. Ohh well.

This is horrible. 11-2, Sugar Bowl champions, Van Bergen becoming Man Bergen, Denard's speed, Mattison's coaching ability... It's all gone, man. None of it matters without Garnett, Grant, Reeves, and Kozan! We're probably going to get a mascot now!!! God dammit I hate my life. I'm going to drink bleach! I just can't do it anymore!

If we land Diamond and pull one more good recruit away from some other team -- a not unlikely scenario -- today will be forgotten. If we don't, we've still got a class to be envied by 99 percent of the other programs out there, with a good start on 2013.
