Now that Grant is committed to OU, it would make me smile if Michigan went after Ryan Morris - 6'6'', 240 TE, currently committed to Purdue.

There's always Hope - and when there's Hope, we can probably steal a recruit if we need to.

Okay, I agree that people react a bit too strongly to this...but, WOW, I don't think the most cynical of UM fans saw an 0-4 long weekend coming on.

It is looking pretty imporant that we pull one of the Diamond/Muller combo if not both. Here is to hoping for some Wednesday flips/surprises. Feed some snakes into the press....we need some oil!

But according to twitter, @mgoblogisfreakingout is reporting that all 4 and 5 star players currently committed to Michigan are decommitting on signing day. Take it FWIW but it seems legit.

Are recruits scared off by the guys we already have or is this just a matter of getting in too late? This one puzzles me because the kid is from Ohio, friends with Kalis, and would have a much friendlier depth chart at Mich. Also, the fact that he previously committed to BC means it likely isn't a weather thing. Oh well, on to the next one.

What a horrible way to "finish" this class. Jesus, you would think with an 11-2 record it would be easier to get recruits, apparently Hoke needs to suck to lure kids here. What a fucking joke.

haha I cant do anything but laugh at this point. This is ridiculous. Ive never seen a recruitng class gain so much momentum in the beginning and then completely falter at the end. Oh well, still a top ten class, I guess.

Isn't part of this 0 for 4 letdown, CREATED by us? I mean, with all the early success, that we need to fill the void and tend to mentally reach of recruiting information.... so the media hacks then follow and report these recruits are higher on us than they really are...a domino effect, but then the final domino falls and everyone is left none the wiser.

I for one am hoping that these guys all didn't commit because there will be better players who flip, in the coming days, to us.

LOL. That's the only thing I have to say about these last few days of recruiting.
Just LOL.
I remember mgoblog predicting most of these guys to michigan and I didn't feel good about that.

This is the only surprise so far, and a mild one at that. With Kalis in the fold, it was pretty clear that Grant's decision was not the foregone conclusion many of us thought it would be. Otherwise, it wouldn't have taken as long.

I'm 4 for 4. But guess what, because I actually didn't expect to be right on ALL of my guesses, I'm going to switch my last 4. Diamond to Michigan. Muller to Michigan. Henry to Michigan. Diggs to Michigan.

This is not flamebait I swear.

What. the. fuck.

I'm going to explode. None of this don't worry bullshit. Strikeout after strikeout down the stetch is mortifying. With the time they have had to focus on a select few, there is no excuse for this.

You're overreacting, but you do make a good point that it's a little disconcerting that we missed out on the select few guys that we actually zeroed in on down the stretch.

A lot of these guys were commit-switchers or guys from far away lands, so it makes sense. Once we start losing our top targets from the Midwest region, then we can start using words like "mortifying" and "no excuse." We just need to keep Michigan nailed down.

... Wait, top 2013 Michigan recruit Steve Elmer already signed with Notre Dame?! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

That was me venting. The reason the start to this class was so great was partly because we were taking Ohio recruits, flipping OSU recruits, and dominating Big Ten recruiting. I'm upset because we started this class with an A+. Not so sure how we will finish. We pretty much had five full months to focus on select recruits and are getting none of them. In fact, we've lost two commitments which didn't seem like a big deal. They are starting to seem like a huge deal.

I know we will probably be fine, but in order to compete with OSU and compete for B1G titles and National Championsips, this is the stuff that makes the biggest difference. It's not how you start. It's how you finish. Ohio State is finishing. And it royally pisses me off.
