Saban has been banned from a Louisiana high school for "unethical" recruiting of Brandon Harris who ended up at LSU.  Saban "offered" him, but didnt OFFER him.  The school has 2 ESPN 300 prospects this cycle.

Maybe I am wrong, but I think he was banned from Solomon's house. I don't think he or Smart ever got an in home visit, but I could be wrong. Always wondered if they did, maybe someone can clarify.

Surely Mr. Finebaum will have to address this news.  He is very concerned about ethics, and Saban is banned from a high school for....

as much as the next guy, but just like any other story, I'm sure there is another side to this story. If you are gonna start banning schools because they don't give your kid a commitable offer, you won't have a lot of power 5 schools allowed in your school.

We were JUST on the other side of one of these stories with Swenson. Maybe let's wait for more facts before getting on our high horse?

After all, non-committable offers are fairly routine. Jim usually has about 50,000 offers out at a time. Do you think all of them are committable?

Again, there is a time and place for perspective and objectivity - but THIS IS NOT THAT TIME, THIS IS NOT THAT PLACE!!!

BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

And Swenson was nothing like this. Offered by previous staff, declined multiple offers to get to know and show himself to the new staff. So not only a lame ass attempt to be objective, but wrong about it too!

Imagine if ESPN spent as much time and effort on going after Saban, Freeze & Mullen while simultaneously apologizing for every misstep in the BigTen.  It's asinine to watch how people like Finebaum behave on a daily basis about such issues and it's so blatantly hypocritical.

I haven't watched ESPN for years aside from live game broadcasts and College GameDay (becoming less watchable as plants like Finebaum and doofs like Pollack get more screen time) for this very reason.

There is NO reason to watch the network other than the live games.

Well for one, I don't live in a cave and am exposed to the garbage at restaurants, bars, hotels and friends houses. Second, this Board and every other one. Third, I used to run a sports blog and saw the decline happen over 10yrs ago. Finally, Disneys purchase and the subsequent influence over programming.

That's how.

ESPN sucks.

Wouldn't need to use tactics given their on field success. Maybe it's chicken and egg scenario. Why not earn some respectability while you're on top of the mountain?  Ha ha, silly me.  Can't stand bama, SEC.

I'm sure Paul Finebaum will be all over Saban and Alabama on this one...NOT! With all the unethical crap that has historically occurred in the SEC I find it the height of hypocrisy that Finebaum goes after Harbaugh so much. He clearly is intimidated by him and the potential success he will most certainly have, as well as the threat he poses to his beloved SEC conference. Everything Harbaugh has done is 100% legit which most certainly cannot be said about the underhanded activities constantly going on in the SEC conference. The guy is a complete joke.

So I'm guessing no one is aware of the shouting match Paul and Saban got in last summer at SEC Media days when Paul had been critical of Saban for months.

I understand not like Paul's show. I understand being critical of it but be fair. He kills Ole Miss, Saban and anyone else he feels like. He doesn't like Michigan true but he spent all of last summer praising Michigan following our win over Florida.
