Ryan Miller - USA

Best game I've ever watched. Thanks, Ryan Miller, my one and only favorite spartan. Great job USA!

If the USA won, I could enjoy the victory for the country. If the USA lost, I could blame our failure on an ex-Sparty. All kidding aside, I'd rather win a gold medal than hate on Ryan Miller. He played well throughout the Olympics. I felt bad for him at the end of the game.

Ryan Miller was the bane of Michigan's existence during his time at Michigan State. Time and again I watched the Wolverines skate circles around the Spartans only to be stopped by Miller; endlessly frustrating. There were few Spartans I hated more, but there were also few I respected more. Today Ryan Miller was a tribute to his team, his sport, and his country and my respect for him remains. Thank you Ryan Miller, great performance.

Credit to Miller for being a rock in net. I agree that he was the bane of UM's existence when he played at state, but he has been one of the best goalies in hockey since he joined the NHL. Congrats to the him and the rest of the US team for a great Olympics.

to be named the Olympics MVP and not win the tournament. What he did was put a "mediocre" hockey program (TEAM USA) and put them on his back. The pride that our country showed in rooting for this team hopefully continues to make our best players want to play for TEAM USA. By the way, in 2014-we are going to kick Canada's ass.

A beast. All there is to it. His play made me forgive the Spartiness by half way through the first Canada game. Nobody I'd rather have in front of the net in '14. BUT: FOR THE LOVE OF HOCKEY, WHY!? I CAN FORGIVE YOU FOR NOT BEING PERFECT (Almost literally) AND EVEN FOR LETTING THE GOLD GO ON A SOFTIE (Comparatively at least), BUT WHY DID YOU HAVE TO LET IT BE HIM? ANYBODY BUT CINDY! BTW: The Big Ten owns this sport in America.

I dabated with a guy on here last week who the best goalie in the world was currently. He said it was Miller and I disagreed, but noted that he would likely be in the top 5. I am still not sold on him being the best in the world, but he certainly was the best in this tournament, and through the duration of it, out performed all the others that I had in the top five. My top five would be Luongo, Nabokov, Brodeur, Kiprosoff and Miller. I won't put numbers on it because I think this list is fluid and they are essentially on par with one another. Anyway, great tournament for Miller and the USA.
