JJ Denman and Muller reaffirm committments per Rivals. Another one bites the dust.
"Coach Mattison told me what the Ravens were about, what he thought," Beyer said. "He definitely encouraged me. I hold his opinion in high regard."
Shit. That is all
Figured this would happen, we had a shot with Muller if the new coach fired the old OL coach, but now that's he's got the top job it was a given
Enough about Rutgers already. I cant believe Muller had the balls to say the next page for Rutgers is a National Championship. Seriously? Its fucking Rutgers. Very angry right now.
Leave the kid alone. He's going to get the last laugh when he's playing in the Little Ceasars Bowl and you're not.
Rolls need to be slowed a bit.
He's a kid who is about to sign an loi, he's all jacked up on teenager hormones.
Let him be excited. He never said Michigan sucks, he said Rutgers would win.
Didn't Kalis say something similar?
Its Rutgers, you kidding me? Kalis was Ohio and then became blue. jacked up or not its Rutgers! Besides Muller and Kalis shouldnt be in the same sentence.
I wish we could go back in time and hear the intelligent things that came out of your yap when you were 18. I'm sure you blessed the world with some real gems.
I don’t think we can forget that these are still kids who are excited because they just made a huge decision, and possibly the first grown up decision of their lives.
This kid is pumped to go to Rutgers, as he should be. Let him have his fun, and wish him the best.
We were all dumb and 18 at one point.
when I saw Schiano at his first bucs press conference and he said he looks forward to the day when Rutgers wins a national title. Congrats on getting Rutgers to be relevant Coach Schiano, but I feel fairly safe in saying that Rutgers will never ever win a national title
We just can't catch a break lately. Even our "commit" is on hold. I'm now guessing Diamond will somehow commit to Ohio, MSU and ND, and just play in the games against Michigan. Arrrggghhh.
Arkansas football to only play michigan for next 4/5 years lol
said that he has been the assistant coach since 2008, but before that was an OL coach. Not that it matters, but would have been impressive jump from OL to head coach.
confirms he has been Assistant Coach since 08.
Muller has been committed to Rutgers for 7 months, and his position coach was just promoted to head coach. How are people depressed that he is going to stick with Rutgers? Good god.
It's beginning to look like the RCMB over here. Get it together people. The world isn't going to end because we missed out on a couple recruits.
I can handle losing a west coast kid to California, I guess I can handle losing a kid to Oklahoma, I suppose I can get over losing an o-lineman to Iowa, maybe I can even stomach losing a recruit to OSU once and a while, but all of this and we can't beat out Rutgers in the middle of a coaching change....Good lord this sucks
We couldn't beat our Rutgers for the kid when Schiano was coach. He wants to go to Rutgers because it is close to home - unless Michigan is magically moving to New Jersey this wasn't going to happen.
We will get some depth and hopefully Diamond to fll out the class. The grant commitment was the big shocker to me. They have real depth at TE at Oklahoma, it is insanely far away from home, and outside of Jermaine Gresham have they put a lot of tight ends in the pros? That one was the only real surprise. I'll go so far as to say shocking....
Michigan might not be moving to NJ, but NJ pretty much moves to Michigan every fall.
Greg Schiano didn't really leave Rutgers much choice when he left them less than a week before NSD. The outside coaches who are available are mostly major risks, and they have a better chance of keeping their recruiting class by doing exactly what they did: recruit an assistant and try to convince recruits that it's "business as usual."
I'm betting he is on a "short leash," and that Rutgers won't get caught with their pants down next time. When Schiano interviewed with other schools, they should have started making contingency plans.
RU just wants some respect in CFB, but does not want to spend the money to become a powerhouse. They win ~8 games in the BE every year, and everyone will be happy.
Why pay for Cristobal, when he will inevitably leave? Also, NJ HS coaches are like others in NJ, very proud of their state and very particular. It's another culture that doesn't love outsiders (although dude was on RU's staff for 2-3 years).
Michigan: home to the only people in the world who care about what happens to Rutgers football.
That Rutgers didn't promote Frank Cignetti, their o-coordinator. He's an underrated coach with a penchant for getting the most out of his guys and he's a pretty good recruiter. Was very successful at Fresno State, UNC, Cal, and Pitt. But I can see where they're coming from with this hire...Flood seems like an ok hire and I can see why they'd keep it internal.
