Rutgers AD Julie Hermann wants to create a "Disney World experience" at games. She is clearly trying to outdo David Brandon in marketing (and distorting) college football for the masses. She sees the key to Rutgers' success as more content produced on the website. You know... because when you have more Java applets, you get better recruits and win more games... /s In addition, she wants to create a "Rutgers channel" so you can see her antics 24/7... and to pull content AWAY from the B1G network... I'm sure Delaney is going to love that.
In addition, she is so annoying to listen too because she copies one-liners like "It takes a village" (a la Hillary) and Rutgers markets these fundraising events as part of their "R Big Tour". This is in addition to paying for huge billboards on numerous highways throughout the state with "WE R B1G".... [I bet they also paid some consultant money for that stroke of ingenuity and he basically copied the logo from Toys 'R Us...] It's hard not to be embarrassed for their roll-out, especially considering that they are trying to sell themselves as the "media-savvy" school of the B1G.
