Rutgers AD tries, fails to rein in student tailgate

Submitted by 901 P on

Apparently the Rutgers AD went to a student tailgate to try to get the rowdiness under control. After mounting the stage to address the assembled students, he had second thoughts and decided to join the fun by cracking open a beer. More power to him, I say!

Eventually he came to his senses:

“I regret that any action on my part can be interpreted as promoting the use of alcohol,’’ he said. “That was certainly not my intention.’’

One would hate to promote the use of alcohol to a bunch of college kids. Think about what they might do! On the bright side, this guy is way cooler than Brandon.

Before this afternoon I had never had a sip of alcohol in my life.  In the few hours since I've seen that video, I've drank a case of beer and done all manner of horrible things in my intoxicated state.   When I sober up, probably in jail, I'll surely curse that Rutgers AD for (burp) inspiring poor, impressionable me to do all this.

Scott Farrel on CBS radio is roasting Rutgers hard right now. Says they are a trash school and would kill himself if his kid ever wanted to go there.
