I work with an osu fan who said bucknuts went to 247 and they raised the price. I wouldnt be surprised, 247 has really come on the scene as of late.
These sites are almost literally mercenaries who will contract for highest bid. Unless the business side of this stuff interests you, it shouldn't matter

247 is run by the guys that started rivals. I think they are probably are better evaluators of talent and will probably be a better site IMO. Still, I'm sticking with mgoblog. What can I say, I'm a cheap bastard who would rather give money here when I finally earn a buck or two that isn't for necessities.
It seems like they have more analysts and write more articles especially fir Midwest prospects.

RCMB is on 247 and the owner is already begging people to try the 'free" 7-day trial.
RCMB is actually free but you have to pay monthly to become a "VIP". At that point you get to read the insider articles.
Let them enjoy these few weeks, where they can make fun of our recruits and then soon enough we can say...at least we have scholarship players.
Mixed feelings about rivals. Balas is kind of a tool.(sorry in advance if you're lurking Chris...but it doesn't make it any less true). I guess I figured that rivals would probably become marginalized with the popularity of mgoblog and the emergence of Sam Webb(scout) as the face of WTKA. But much like mlive and detnews.com...I dont necissarily like or respect them, but they're another source, and our knowledge would be less complete if they did not exist.
Balas is indeed a tool, but Helmoldt and Borton are good. And I like the writing of Andy Reid, although I'm not sure how good of a football analyst he is.
I like 247 just for the fact that they have a very good Midwest analyst, something Rivals doesn't have...
Rivals needs to steal Allen Trieu away from Scout to be their Midwest analyst. Dude is a great evaluator.

It's strange that these rumors are happening now. I subscribe to The Wolverine Magazine and earlier this week they were putting out a survey that was, in part, trying to estimate the demand for a combined magzine/Wolverine (rivals web site) package that is not currently offered right now.
But I do prefer 247, because they are not so biased against midwestern recruits. Be that from a higher concentrated effort in the area, or better talent evaluators, I don't know.
