Rumor regarding Wilton Speight injury

Submitted by Borges_so_Beautiful on

A friend of a friend played with Speight in High School. According to him, Speight claims that he has a sprained AC joint and shoulder ligament and that he is week to week in terms of recovery timescale.

Unfortunately, communication was over text and not Counter Strike voice chat

AC on non-throwing arm is not bad. I had a stage five AC tear and had surgery 9 days after accident. Before surgery I had little pain (surgery set me way back) and reasonable mobility. I was surprised how fast it healed on my 50 yr old body. I bet the much younger Speight can play Saturday, definitely agst Bucks

Honestly, I'd rather have a 100% healthy O'Korn, than Speight playing with a moderate-to-severe hindrance. If Speight hasn't lost his zip and isn't looking over his shoulder worrying about getting pummeled again, then obviously he's the guy.

Unfortunately, I don't often get time to watch game film, or read all of Brian's in depth analysis. So I haven't got to study O'Korn's time at Houston all that throughly. I know he put up huge numbers his freshmen season.. But assuming he's the starter Saturday, what can we expect in terms of how it changes the offense?

I wish they had done this with my chest X-rays during my hospitalization last year - rather than tell me what it actually was, they could have just said, "Your heart and lungs are sad, very sad" and I think I might have preferred that, to be honest. That way, my only question would have been, "OK, so how do we make them happy again?"

Really? Broke mine into 3 pieces, almost came out of my skin. I walked back into the huddle and then looked down and saw it. Didn't feel pain for about another 15 minutes (didn't move my arm obviously). THEN, didn't get pain killers for about another 50 minutes (stupid Rite Aid) and almost drooled on myself while I struggled to not pass out.
