RUMOR: 2012 Winter Classic at the Big House confirmed?

Their source is XX Sports 1090 out of San Diego.
Rumor is that it's the Wings and Maple Leafs playing.
Hopefully this is true, too early to say now though.

I really dont care about teh NC game. All I want is to win the B1G and go to the Rose Bowl. Too hell with the NC, BCS and a playoff system.
I prefer the old days when all the major bowl games were played on 01JAN and we knew who the NC was the next day.

Jan 1 Rose Bowl with entire country watching is far more prestigious than the mid-January BCS sham national championship farce.
I know this won't happen but I would love to see Michigan (or any B1G or Pac12 team for that matter) pass on the BCS title game in favor of the Rose Bowl.
Perfection is as perfection does. Win all our games including the B1G and the Rose Bowl and nothing is better than that.
The BCS, SEC, voters, sportswriters and any other whiners can go fuck themselves in the ass with a stick.

PS...since the topic is Winter Classic, frankly I'd rather see it in Detroit. Ann Arbor is great college football town, but downtown D has become a great event setting in its own right. Other than the potential for an attendence record, I just don't see the appeal of hosting it in Ann Arbor.

If it is then I don't think that I'll watch because I'll be watching football because one game doesn't affect a hockey season were as in football it does.

I like the Wings too, I don't even remember when the Leafs and Wings were a rivalry. I wasn't watching hockey yet.
